Take advantage of the 30 day satisfaction guarantee. If you don't like it, you can always go back. If you're worried about getting charged an activation fee to return to T-mobile, don't port your number to Cingular until you are satisfied that the service will work for you.

Sir you might as well behind over because Cingular is going to FRACK you coming and going. I do work for them and yes, I do have T-Mobile service. I wouldn't leave them for anything. T-Mobile has again won the JD Powers award for Customer Service. Until Cingular gets their act right, they will continue to fail in this field. Please remember that service is not guaranteed everywhere and always, always, always read the fine print when it comes to Cingular.

Thanks for listening. :~)

Sincerely,

T-Mobile Junkie :~)

this might sound odd...but i switched from T-Mobile and hated it at first. It all depends on your area foremost, but in my case, it was a matter of which phone i picked. I had the samsung e317, i now have the Nokia 6102 and love it. No dropped calls, no problems hearing.

In my case it was a matter of what phone I had.

First, the best thing to do is to ask your friends that have Cingular and see if they like it.

Second, check out and compare the plans and see which one would best fit you. If you use data services, text/instant messaging, they are cheaper with Tmobile.

Third, pick a good phone. Alot of people like the free phones, but then complain that the free phones aren't that good. Invest in a good phone.

Last point- Cingular gives you 30 days to try things out to see if you like them and want to stay. Don't wait til day 28 or 29. You should know how you like it within 1-2 weeks.

I will say it depends, most ppl at Stores that offer Cingular, including Radio Shack have access to their MTi Map tool. They can tell you, very accurately how well Cingular would cover say..your house.

Being on both sides of the fence ( Data plan with t-mo and minute plan with cingular ) I have only been able to pinpoint one place where I drop calls and is not that I'm there all the time. I love my data plan because I get free wi-fi ( have an HP IPAQ 6315 ) and pay 49.99.

It depends how it affects you and what you're gonna use it for.

I don't call Cingular CC because I feel they are "rude" but I am more of a typer than a talker anyway, but if you wanna have a great experience over the phone, I reccomend t-mobile, then again, you get what you paid for ;)
