well tmobile usa, seems to be very consistent with their quarterly subs, while cingular was all over...

i think the razr thing, as you mentioned, is a big problem during the 1st quarter.. i also dont like their marketing campaign with the independent research company who said they are number 1 when JDpowers, although differnt, showed otherwise..

The trend is the customers in genral are not canceling their cell phone accounts. Only about 7 percent of customers plan on swtiching. Most of those customers are switching to Verizon. The company with the highest churn is T-Mobile. I think u are a little off base.

I'm with you on this one.. However, I expect churn to be a little lower.. 1.5-1.8%... especially with the comp changes currently taking place... More emphasise being placed on upgrades than activations.

You think churn is going to jump that much? It was 1.9% Q4 2005, with postpaid at 1.8%.

I doubt it will.

My expectations are that when the numbers are released, regardless of good or bad, it will start the typical flame wars between the haters, the lovers and the rationalists.

My prediction is that Cingular will be about 500k net add's short of the net add's of another major wireless carrior.

I think Cingular will suprise everyone with record low churn. I think Cingular will start adding new lines in record numbers in the second quarter of 06. The bottom line is my paycheck stays the same either way.

thats cuz you work for the wrong company. some other wireless companys share their profits with their employees.

Yes I know that Verizon wireless has profit sharing. Verizon made me an offer and it was not that much more than at what Cingular is paying me. There was .50 per hour pay raise and it was for thew same job. The profit sharing is nice but the overall offer was not up to par.
