Motorola Phone Tools. HELP!

Anxiovert

Mar 20, 2006, 5:28 AM
Hi guys I read somewhere that I could make the earpiece on my SLVR louder by purchasing the moto phone tools. Well, I just bought the software but I'm lost. I can't seem to find the option for this. Can someone guide me the right direction? Thanks in advance!

(I'm posting this on the SLVR forum too)

If there is a software update for the slvr available than that is probably what you want. Otherwise I dont know of any way that moto phone tools can help with your earpiece.

Ugh! Are you telling me that I spent $29.99 on this software for nothing? 😡

Phonetools isn't what you need to make it louder.. You need a software called Motorla PSK .... go on www.howardforums.com or www.iphone-forum.com ...

it isn't much to do it, you don't need Motorola Phone Tools to do it, however, you do need a data cable for your phone to do it. It takes about 5 minutes to do everything, once you get use to the system... be sure to make it between 1 and 3 though anything louder will start to crackle or burst your speakers.... It is automatically set at 0 and will go up to 8.

I try not to smoke too much crack but I do remember reading something like what Anxiovert was talking about on Howard Forums.

They were using Mobile phone tools to adjust the gain or play with the tone of the sound kinda like a graphic equalizer or something of that nature. I'm not sure it made the sound "louder" but rather adjusted it to your personal hearing ability as far as the frequency, etc.

I have MPT myself but have not yet had a chance or the inclination to look for this feature yet.
