I dont know how they win awards for customer service, they screw my account up every time I call for anything other than to make a payment.

The only purpose of your post is to start flame wars, which both T-Mobile and Cingular forums have had 1 million of them and counting. T-Mobile works for you, and I have them and I like them as well. Cingular works for my mother, and friends. Verizon works for my other friends. All carriers are great, and they all have places where they stink.

So please don't post comments like this in another carrier's forum. Thanks.

Not before the new at&t gobbles up Cingular's brand, and rebrands it as at&t wireless!!! 😁

If you had to choose between T-Mo and Cingular.. It's hands down to go with Cingular.

100% better coverage map.
Better reception and less dropped calls.

The best thing T-Mobile can offer are the rate plans.. but as I say to my customers.. What good are a million minutes when you can't use the phone anywhere?

T-Mo may offer you cheap phone prices but again.. What good is a cheaply priced phone when it doesn't pick up service anywhere outside Boston/Cambridge?

Customer service is nice there for T-Mobile.. but when you are talking 25ish million customers (don't quote me on that) to 55 million.. Yeah.. you are going to get a higher disgruntled customer ratio SIMPLY BY SHEER VOLUME.

Bseides.. didn't VZW kick T-Mobile's butt in CS...

Dude, think about what you just said. "Yeah, you're going to get a higher disgruntled customer ratio simply by sheer volume."

The purpose of a ratio is to level the playing field. IE if T-Mobile has 200,000 disgruntled customers out of 25 million, isn't that the same as 400,000 out of 50 million? That's the reason for ratios right? So, if Cingular has a higher disgruntled ratio, then in fact one could interpret that their service is worse.

don't they keep like 9-5 hours for their CS? can't screw much up in that timeframe.

9-5 that's crap 90% of the time when i'm calling customer service it's after 6 when i get off work, when most of the country gets off work they are supposed to be there for customers. t-mobile is too cheap to pay for an evening customer service. Plus all their awards come from JD power who is the biggest joke of them all, they give out awards for millions of categories, and it just so happens that everyone gets an award for something and they give them out like candy no actuall value. Plus they just use it as advertisement. Don't believe anything jd power says wether good, bad, or about any company VZW, CINGY or T-mobile.

Are you guys retarded? I'm amazed you turned the computer on. I only checked out this post, because it seemed obnoxious from the get go. However, while we're on the subject...The JD powers award: You can criticize it all you want, but where's yours? 24 hours a day with virtually no hold times, 11 out of 12 awards for service, no one is ripping verizon here, good service, but the point is that cingular's sucks. The coverage is better with Cingular. There I said it, slightly better coverage. so what? travel the country sometime, and you'll see why T-Mobile's "coverage where it counts" philosophy really works. All companies have their nitch, and T-Mobile is not for everyone. However, the customer service is phenomenal, and the coverage i...

"However, the customer service is phenomenal" 🤣 Ok I had to really laugh at that one. The only thing T-Mo is good for is giving out extra minutes. Just to bad when you get 5-6 call fails before you get through and then hope that you don't get dropped. The last thing you want is extra minutes when you can't use the 1500 that you already have.
