I have just called Cingluar 5 times and I hang up when this rude girl answers the phone and I call back but every time I get the same person. How the hell is this possible?

Your in the repeat call que now. Eventually a AM is going to call you to tell you to stop calling in. The repeat call que speaks to the same customers multiple times a day

And if that happens, I will tell them if they would do a better job I would not have to call in so much. I have only been with Cingular three months and they have messed up so much that they have given me $200.00 credits so far. I don't want anymore damn credits, I just want they to stop screwing up all the time. I can afford to pay my bill. Also it would be nice to be able to get a white person when I call in. No offense but I am from the south and I have a hard time understanding anyone else.

That's pretty weird considering how many call centers Cingular has across the country. FWIW though I do the same thing pretty much when I need assistance with my personal Cingular account -- I hang up until I get a Caucasian which sometimes takes a little while. 😉

if you are referring to non caucasian americans, it makes me sad to see how far the civil rights movement has not progressed. if you are referring to non caucasian foreign call center workers, it makes me sad to know how few americans leave our shores. they would soon discover there are capable people all over the world. the only thing that bothers me about getting a foreign call center worker is the awful english names they choose. dude, just tell me your real name is annup or shrish, that's fine with me. i feel so weird calling some indian dude ted. it feels so patronizing

Agreed. I hope their pc doesn't ever have problems that require them to call tech support and they get somone in India perhaps. If they only want to talk to someone that English is their first language, then they may be redialing for quite sometime 🙂

ok for everyone who has posted for this thread.. I have to agree/diagree with you ALL and with stephen.. I AM IN no way racist. however.. I do not care if you are from russia or from korea.. indian or german.. if I CANT UNDERSTAND YOU i will hang up. i dont care how capable you are. IM NOT LISTENING TO MUMBLING AND CROSSED WORDS.. this is a free country yes. I think these call centers need to choose people with better speaking skills..

I think stephan has a good point...BUT!!!... He went about it the wrong way america is selling all of these jobs that could be taking the homeless off the streets to teh nations far away from home. they may be completely qualified to do the job may be even better but when it comes to speaking the english language they are very distored and unclear, whether because of accent or just a small vocabulary of english words i you surveyed you would find that the majority of people would rather speak to someone whoms first language is english and has very little accent it can even be difficult to talk to a british (white) person because of their accent or try scottish (white) person. What about canadian (white) what about new yorker or bostoninia...

It may have been considered racism because Stephan decided to complain that he was not talking to a white person, not because of anyone's ignorance. Had he chosen his words better, and focused on a preference for a lack of accent, this whole string would have been much shorter.

Somw how we got off point. I was mad that the peson I talked to was rude and she was a white person. I hung up and called back and got the same person five times. But I did say that I dont like talking to sommeone who dont speak Enlish very well.
