somebody PLEASE help...
i HOPE that there is SOMEONE out there who can make some sense out of my WONDERFUL cell phone service cingula$$...
ok...i have been with at&t for 4 years now, and i am FULLY aware that i SHOULD switch to cingula$$. keep in mind, i have NO problem doing so, IF they could at LEAST match my plan. i have my eye on the W900i or W900c from sony ericsson, and there are some being sold that are unlocked for cingula$$. so the phone is not the issue...finding a plan is.
right now i'm still running off my OLD nokia 8265 cell phone (laugh it up 🤣 , i do all the time), and if it weren't for my IDIOT of a service provider i would have gotten a new phone SOONER. my plan right now consists of 850 anytime minutes, 300 text messages, mobile 2 mobile...

Just keep in mind Cingular did not merge with AT&T they bought AT&T's customer base. They offer what they've always offered to all their customers. They do not offer AT&T plans. AT&T wireless no longer exsists. Those plans are gone. You can stay on a blue plan now they are being called purple because you are being converted to the Cingular billing system and just get the unlocked phone and insert your AT&T sim in it. Problem sloved

This person's phone is an 8265, a TDMA phone. Can't switch a SIM out and no one makes that technology of phones any more.

when you get moved to telegence/care, you can just do a technology change and enter a SIM and IMEI. From a technical standpoint, you can do the technology change with assistance from tech...but I doubt Cingular wants that happening.

A few questions.
How many minutes do you use during the day, how many do you use from 7pm-9pm and how many text messages do you send each month? You are on the old TDMA system so you may qualify for bonus mintues which means you could go to a lower plan and get more mintues.

Sorry but not much sense to be made here. You need to accept the fact that ATTWS gave away the farm to get you on service. Cingular is unwilling to do the same. For that matter, no one is going to give you a rate plan that will match that. Not T-Mobile, and definately not Verizon.
