a lot of that has to do with the construction of the buildings. some buildings really aren't very friendly to the radio waves of cell phones. i go to UNT and have the same problem in some of the buildings up here. unless anyone else is getting a strong signal in that building with, i wouldn't really recommend needing to change anything.

Justi,

I work for Cingular in the NTX area. Take your phone into your nearset dealer and have them put your SIM in the card reader. You are probably missing the latest IRDB software which is causing your poor reception especially off of I-30.

As for the building at UNT, most folks don't have strong GSM coverage in buildings. Plus, like any college and the heavy amount of cell phones in a given area, signal strength will be low.

I graduated from TTU, and had a similar problem.

IRDB can be sent OTA with the latest Telegence release, so no need to run through card reader, but that's assuming that area is a Telegence market.
