Ok, so my phone dropped in the toilet.. will insurance accept the claim?
Hi Everyone. I dropped my cell phone in the toilet lol yeah.. it was an accident. I have insurance on the phone, but if I call insurance will they accept my claim or do they not cover liquid damage. Thanks. Also, the phone that I dropped was a Samsung X497, with my sim card in it, but the phone I had insurance on first was a Motorola V220. I added a line to my family plan, gave the V220 to my son, and used the X497 for me. Which phone would be covered? And if it is the v220 that is insured, would they give me a v220, or since it's discontinued theyd give me the next best thing? Thanks for the help!!!

Depends on which number you had the insurance. If it was on the phone number with the Samsung then yes it covers liquid damage. If it was on the line with the v220 then no bcuz it goes by the phone number that the insurance is on. So you would have to say that you dropped the 220 in the toilet. (I dont encourage lying. 😉 ) As far as which one they will send you i believe it would be the next best thing but you would have to call and speak to them for that information.
