I'm sure.

Every time we turn around, we get email from HQ reminding us that the merger hasn't happened yet, and that we are still two separate companies in the eyes of the law, and that anti-trust people will be on us like a ton of bricks if we even look like we are colluding.

In that atmosphere, I'm positive any decisions we make about phones, stores, etc. are strongly based on pre-existing plans, with any changes backed up by solid research.

Far as I know, no Cingular isn't waiting but we are seriously testing any new phones that come out on our networks until we are satisfied with their performance. So there may be some minor delays but overall wouldn't you want a phone that will work 'anywhere' on the network instead of a new one right now that may not be fully compatible?

This is the main reason we don't offer the N-Gage. It only does 1900 MHz in the US. Well we have 850 and 1900 MHz areas, so unless you are on a National plan you may roam in those areas where there is no 1900 Cingular signal and get nail for roaming charges.

We are seeing if Nokia may make an updated version of the QD with 850 and 1900 bands instead of just 1900. If they do, we would most likely carry ...

Dang, no edit button. Now the version I got to test only had 1900 MHz but the specs here say it has 850 and 1900 MHz but we have not been provided a version by Nokia with those specs.

I will have to check on that and get back to you.

Isn't this phone a tri band?? I want it, but don't want to buy an unlocked version if we are definately getting it. I'm in sales for Cingular, so I don't want to either have a phone that we don't carry, nor do i want to spend too much on it. As it is now, i have the 3200, and we only carried that for like 2 months. I have customers that like my phone, but unfortunately we don't carry it.
Are you talking about the N-Gage or the 6820 when you say about the 1900mhz??
Any phone that is strictly 1900 will not work in my area.

Sorry that was suppose to be for N-Gage QD, wrong topic.

As to the 6820, we should have it by mid July or beginning of August.
