When a phone is purchase at a own/operated Cingular store the exchange for a different make/model is possible at same point of sale returning complete phone (charger, paperwork, box) in like new conditions (minus shrink wrap) and original receipt within 30 days (including same day purchase as day 1 and weekends and/or holidays).

After 30 days Cingular (or any other carrier)has no obligation to exchange as they only provide the service and simply facilitated their real estate for customer to acquire the equipment, however the company has set up a department to expedite the exchange by mail in a fast turnaround manner supported in part by the maker of phone and company itself.
