Messed over by cingular, please help.
Does anyone remember the Media pkg that included 1500 txt, 250 mms, and unlimited web? Well ive had it on my phone since it came out, up until my last phone bill. They had exchanged my old media works pkg with the new one which includes 1000 txt unlimited, mms, and 5mb of web. Im a heavy web user and i easily go over that in a month. But i had no idea that this happened and go slammed with 400 dollars extra cuz i went over the 5mb. When i called cs they all said that there was no such pkg. Would it help if i go to a store? And please tell me that there was a package cus i know im not crazy.

You are not crazy i have that same package. u should go to a corprorate store and ask them. Its 19.99 and you get 1500 text and 200 mms. Good luck. keep trying customer service you should find a smart cs employee who could help u.

unfortunately, even if it was changed, all the bitching and griping in the world won't allow a rep to put that feature back on your account. Once a feature has expired, it is impossible to add it again. The systems just wont allow it. That sucks though, i'd be pissed!

Untrue, they can be added back on...check you're grandfathered tabs. And, if they're not in the grandfathered feature tabs, each region has a specific department they can email to request the feature get added back on, in which they will in a situation like this. Now, normally if a customer just calls in and asks to be put back on that feature 4 months after they REQUESTED it to be removed, then of course we have to deny the request because it is no longer offered as a current promotion/feature, however if situations like this, we can do it, and most of the time reps do have the power, if they would just take the time to look into it.

the same thing happened to my account. i looked online and seen an extra 1000 text messages on my plan. i called into cs to find out was this a promotion or a mistake. the rep changed my mm package to 1000txt etc. when i had the 1500txt 200mm and unlimited internet. ask the csr to look on my previous bills and she had to get a manager to add the feature back to my account because it expired. it can be done, just ask for a manager to add it back

I wish we had grandfathered tabs! lol We use opus, and i haven't seen where there is any way to put expired features back on after they are removed. Nice to know it can be done, thanks for the info! 🙂

not true... if you have access to CARE (orange corp store) and we can see you had it, we can put it back on. Take care of it soon so they can still see your last bill... we can only view 3 months back in CARE.

Look at your previous bills. The value of the package is easily proveable.

This is an easy fix. You need a copy of your bill prior to this change, and the bill showing the change. Bring both copies into a corp store and show them. That fixes your 400 doller bill. As for fixing it and putting the correct package back on your phone it will be tricky but can be done. What I do recommend when you go back into the corporate store is show them respect and try to remain calm. There more then likely going to go the extra mile for you to make sure this is fixed if your polite. This is a crappy situation so for that I feel for ya.
