I'm getting close to the upgrade timing for my phone and I'd like to know what some of you recommend...I currently have the V551 which for the most part has been a good phone, except the reception kinda sucks and the bluetooth has a hard time staying connected to the headset (both of which seem to be a common problem with this phone). So...

Has anything else been updated on the V557 other than the ticker? If the reception and bluetooth are better then I'm sold.

Or the Razr? I know a few people who have this phone and love it. OR hold out for the Razr V3i?

OR the SE 520? I checked it out in a store and it seemed pretty easy to get around, but how is the reception and bluetooth? The big thing I didn't like about this one is that the s...

V3i i think will be out in march. If you want something equivalent to that now then that would be the rokr. beside design they are very similar, v3i jus have 12mb phone memory and a better camera. v557 is pretty much what you had so I'd try something different.

i would go w/ rokr or want for v3i. or the W600i which has a lot of the same features 256mb phone memory, but no expansion.

i love my expansion card. i have a rokr, filled w/ my 100 songs, 10 games/apps, and 14 episodes of the Family Guy and still have 20-25MB left for pics, etc.

covert the video to mp4 or 3gp. i use Nokia Media Converter (free but you have to register) and set the max file size to 10MB per episode. It does good for the cartoon. I just wish the rokr had fast-forward and rewind options.

Anyway when you connect the rokr while that itunes stuff is happening you should be a "removable drive" come up in windows explorer. It will be called whatever you named your Transflash card. drop your files in /mobile/video. You can drop any java apps/games in mobile/kjava, ringtones in mobile/audio, etc.

then go to sounds/video/games whatever and hit menu and switch storage device. change to the transflash card and you will find all your stuff. The games/ringtones you have to install or move into the phone m...

If they are in the /mobile/video folder than it can only be two things i know of

1. the video isn't in 3gp or mp4 format
2. when you go under video on the phone you have to switch the storage device to the transflash card.

that is all i can think of. i haven't ran into that problem, unless i put a video that wasn't 3gp or mp4.

(every thing i have on mine is 3gp, since i can get a 22 min show in under 10mb at decent quality)

I have found that anything over about 20MB causes the phone to really really lag. I played a 50MB file once and had to take the battery out to get it to stop.

I'm not too interested in the itumes feature (already have an mp3 player) so I guess the current Razr might be a good option. Thanks for the help!
