w600i prob.
Hey Everyone. Quick Question. I purchased online a sony ericson w600i with the cingular business discount for collages and universties (Cingular Premier), on tuesday of last week and got it friday. It is a really great phone, but, it was acting up a little bit and I wanted to exchange it for the same model. My question is, could I exchange the phone at a cingular store, or purchase a differnt phone, or just return the whole thing period. Could I go back to my old phone, and upgrade at a later time, or since i already upgraded, i can only return or exchange it. If I cant return it to a store, would I have to do this by phone? Thanks!!

You'd have to send it back following the guidelines in your packet that should have come with the phone or call customer service. If you got your phone & never called to tell Cingular that it arrived, the system still thinks you haven't received your order & will show upgrade eligible. Don't use it, though, since your account is in a freeze for that until you call and let Cingular know your phone has arrived & is usable.

what seems to be the problem with it?
i have a w600i and i had a problem with it shutting off randomly when i set it down on a table or tap in in a certain place... i found out that it was that my SIM card wasnt inserted all the way, so whenever my phone had any sort of harsh vibrations, it would shut off. If thats your problem, then take out the SIM card and push it in the slot until it clicks... then you know the thing is in there okay.
