How's that 1500 min plan w/no rollover workin' out?

How's that 1500 min no n/w no rollover plan workin' out for y'all? I went wit' Verizon myself, but I gotta friend who' s might be a good candidate fo' it (switchin' from his 900 unl n/w w/rollover plan) since it'd save him 10 bucks a month.

He don' seem to believe me when I tell him 'bout the 1500 plan though, 'cus Cingular doesn't seem to advertise it at all an' he never sees anything 'bout it. He says I'm talkin' bout 'stealth plans', lol.

Is it a good plan in people's opinion? Are a lotta people goin' wit' it.. at least, the ones who actually know 'bout it?

Not if you're a heavy talker. Let's face it any plan with no N/W minutes just plain sucks, no matter the carrier.

it's a decent plan if u talk alot during the day... i don't like how it left out night and weekend, and rollover.. I think it's just a gimmick plan... a quick answer to a competitor's move...

So Cingular is now more worried 'bout T-mobile than Verizon?

I don't think they are more worried about either company. I think they are trying to be competitive. I'm hoping this leads to plans being launched in feb that will have an edge over the other carriers by either price, or mintues offered.

How could they not be worried 'bout Verizon? Verizon got double Cingular's net adds last quarter, wit' about 170,000 customers to spare. They beat 'em by over a million net adds.

I'm thinkin' maybe Cing's tryin' to 'poach' potential T-mobile customers wit' the new plan, insteada takin' vzw on directly. Makes sense, 'til the network an' customer service is sufficiently improved, things they're workin' on.

But, it don' help that they don' really...

it's a 'save' tool.

I think the tide is turning on where the attention is being placed. Now that a good portion of the integration is complete, and umts is rolled out in several cities, now is when they again focus on getting and keeping their customers.

Save tool? To lower the churn? Hum, that does make sense.

if they need more minutes, or a lower plan, but more mintues than the 39.99 plan, they can get this...

I think what they should do is offer upgrading customer an additional discount off of phones... since they are already set up, or maybe wave the upgrade fee, or something... people are leaving en mass because they can get a free phone when activating with a diff company... y not give em the nokia 6010... or hell even the lg 1500, it's already free after rebate.. just wave the rebate..

For those of you questioning this plan its stated above.. its a save tool. if a customer is going to walk out of the store because of a tmobile plan this is a plan that can prevent that. they dont want to promote these plans. they have a family talk plan for 59.99 too but they arent talking about that. they basically want to get as much out of those that dont know any better and if they do then we dont want them to leave without a phone. and thats the rest of the story

Actually, we have it on both on a manager special board, and several flyers hanging around the store...(the 59.99 fam plan)

The 49.99 plan has flyers on our counter in two locations... people ask about it, but when they see no night and weekends, they forget about it rather quickly.

that is smart......but no n/w and rollover can still be killer.

i get a ton of people that always ask me, hey! what plans you got? you got any thing that can match my old at&t plan......i have 1500 mins, 3 lines for $9.99, and early night for $60.00's a month.of course i sell vzw, sprint, and t-mobile so the answer no. even though
t-mobile is the closest it still doesn't work. and what makes it even worse is cingular who bought out at&t can't even compare. so needless to say when cingy doesn't offer something compareable after person a's at&t phone conks out they get mad and run to verizon (with the same exact plans) and sign up.

my point is people want everything. i like the whole save plan idea but it has to come with a little more...

Am I the only one who thinks da 1500 min plan is actually pretty good? 😳

I mean, fo' most people, it could probably easily replace the Nation 900 plan (900 min, unl n/wknd/m2m, w/rollover, $59) and save 'em 10 bucks a month.

Which i assume is part o' why Cing ain't advertisin' it.

No, I actually think it's an ok plan, as long as you talk more during the day than at night... for me, it would be a great plan... I talk about 1000 min a month includin m2m and nw. I would sign up fo rit, but i get unlimited everything wit my company line

actually alot people 'bite' that plan, but then see the light and choose a standard plan when they see no rollover or n&w minutes...

It's a good idea, and I think the minutes on all plans will be bumped up come feb.

It's great for people who don't feel the need to be on the phone 24 hours a day and for those who have a life other than talking on the phone. Personally, I have the ERP with 1000 minutes (no mobile to mobile, rollover, or nights & weekends) and I NEVER go over my minutes.
