Has FCC approval now, and strong rumors it will be for Cingular very soon, contrary to what has been stated on this forum.

Btw, the FCC pictures have it with a Cingular logo on the front.

It is very possible that Cingular WON'T get this phone because it only supports WCDMA 1900 and not WCDMA 850, nor does it support HSDPA, and maybe Cingular isn't too happy about that. Only time will tell though.

Well WCDMA 850 isnt as important as 1900. I think eventually when the feds free up the 2100 band cingular will buy and migrate over for more global compatibility

Why isn't 850 as important as 1900? Isn't 850 Cingular's main and preferred band??

Maybe not for UMTS, the n80 only has 1900WCDMA band and has been approved by the FCC and has offical cingular branding
