Cingular realy changing their name?
What is the real story? I have been reading the posts about Cingular changing their name to AT&T. I have been with Cingular since 2001,(the Birth Of Cingular), I'm happy with service and everything, but this hole new name change has got me all confused, I'm use to, what I'm use to. Change the name might make me change over to T-Mobile or Verizon. So what is realy going on? 😕

SBC bought out AT&T corporation and the SBC CEO was quoted by USA Today as saying that they will change the name of the wireless division (Cingular) to at&t as well as changing the SBC name to at&t.

yes, the main goal was a stricly wireline deal that will eventually spread to all SBC entities (like cingular). I doubt this will happen soon tho.
