Anyone have any updated news on the HTC 2125 last expected release date I read was for Nov 18th. Of course they were saying it would be called the Cingular 2125, but in light of recent news they may want to rethink that branding.

nah, it's still cingular 2125, and we got the pop material today, so expect it really soon. It's just coming out of testing, and as I understand, passed with flying colors.

Of course the remaining inventory of the audiovox 5600 is going to be sold before this phone is released...

Is that hump at the top detachable, or is it part of the phone?

I thought it was the speaker. Anyways merchandising material got shipped to agents and company stores this week with the 2125 in it... but I wouldn't get my hopes up, the iPaq appeared in merchandising back in July but didnt come out until last month!

Hey JohnMcW... what are the "recent events" that we should be aware of that could cause them to want to change the name of the phone?

Ummm, the merger of at&t and SBC, the rumoured name change from Cingular to at&t, the subsequent denial of a name change by Cingular reps....
