Sorry dude your post got lost amongst all the people arguing with TenMidgets.

Without actually messing with your computer its gonna be hard to resolve the problem. Best thing I can recommend is to open up the device manager with the card reader unplugged, plug it in, and then watch what appears. Select the card reader in the device manager, and delete it. Then unplug the reader and plug it back in, letting windows reinstall it. If you have multiple USB ports, or front/back try them each out... if your using a hub try plugging directly into the PC.

Your best bet is going to be taking it to a computer repair shop. Unfortunatly it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the phone. If I had to venture to guess (and it's an educated guess, as I was a computer tech for a little over 8 years) I'd say your USB drivers have gotten corrupted in someway shape or form, and will probaly need to be re-installed. If you feel comfortable doing it, then by all means, if not then take it to a computer repair shop! It's however very hard to diagnose a computer without actually seeing it, or at the very least having you on the phone while you're sitting at it. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

thanks alot guys. i reset the cpu while the card reader was plugged in and let the cpu re-boot with it plugged in. now it work fine.

don't worry about the latency. i was in on the midget thing too. 😁
