RAZR V3i -- I want it

So Motorola has officially announced the "RAZR2" formally known as the V3i. And I officially want this phone now.

Motorola says it will be out in the 4th quarter of 2005. Any ideas as to when Cingular will release it?

I'm with you SForsyth01, cause I have until Nov 26th to take my phone back to Best Buy and if it'll be out before then there may be a switch! 😉

Hell, I would return it and rebuy it just to extend my return policy in order to get this phone.

No $hit!!! And the V3x is even better. But I don't like it as much because it is thicker.

Looks like I will be waiting a year after you guys get it. I'm still with T-Mobile. ☚ī¸

Awww....poor guy....why don't you come and join the dark side???? We will give you more coverage than T-Mobile even knows exists!!! And you can then get your RAZR V3i.

I'll wait. Nothing against Cingular because none of my friends on Cingular have complained, I'm just cheap. 🙂 I get over 1000 minutes a month for 39.99. I have looked into Cingular, but I just can't get myself to pay the extra money for minutes. If I move from where I am now, I would more than likely have to change, but not right now.

Maybe somebody here (hint hint 😉 ) can get you one for full price and charge you $20 to unlock it and you can use it on T-Mobile. Not sayin there's anyone out there who could do that... 😉

What do you mean it may be worthless for the locked one? What may be worthless?

Hows the music compare to the new walkman phone the one in question is the w600. Would u say the v3i is comparable in terms of music?

No idea. You will have to wait for both phones to come out to make that determination.

i would doubt it, itunes is like a side feature on the v3i, but the w600 is a walkman phone

Keep in mind, this is an educated guess, but i call it out between the 16th and the 24th. The phone wasnt unexpected, but the delay on the phone left a lot of people thinking december or (gulp) january. I think they (cingular+moto) want to hit before thanksgiving. that time seems perfect for product placement and its right when product lineup and pricing changes. An easy way to hide a phone from the competition.

Do you think it worked in hiding it from the competition? After all, if we knew about it here at phone scoop and we were all guessing that it would be here by late Nov to early Jan, I think most of the competition may have known. The only people that didn't know were the ones that just buy phones when they need a new one. Hopefully your right though and the phone will be here in the next few weeks. Can't wait to see one, even if I can't buy one.

I think cingular has kept it hidden pretty well if it hits before xmas. we all knew about the phone, yes. But no one knew exactly when (specifically before or after the holidays), where (usa or elsewhere or not at all), how (pricing), and which carrier (if in usa, probably cingular but then again they said no to the blue and pink razr).
Cingular appears to be doing well witht he phone. Moto had it leaked pretty bad but they played nokia's game and said nothing except its GSM and it rocks.

And the November to January thing may look like a small window of time, but six of those weeks will have a greater impact on every callular company than any other time. You should be quite positive that other providers are anxiously waiting to see i...

We all knew Cingular was getting it. And we knew it back in July. Good point about the six weeks though. Although, the Verizon customers are expecting their V3c about the same time and it doesn't seem to be any less as good as the V3i, so it's just us T-Mobile guys that will suffer with the wet pants ☚ī¸

What 2 exclusives does T-Mo have? I thought both Cingy and T-Mo were getting the blue and pink RAZR. Or at least the blue was going to both.

i beleive that blue and pink are going tmo, but if i wasnt paying attention and cingy gets the blue, thats great! i just assumed they were hand in hand and cingy was turned off by the pink so i assumed blue went too. hope i'm wrong.

But thickness kills my pocket. I love that I can put the RAZR in my shirt pocket.

Have you seen any specs on the dimensions of the V3x????
...

Nov 8, 2005, 1:38 PM
that is pretty nice to put it in the shirt pocket, i must agree. but ya, the v3x isnt called razr for a reason, it isnt thin like a razr. but i dont think the thin feel is comfortable in my hand. i like the size and feel of samsungs personally, but if i had a choice with the same features and price, i'd probably take the thin one too.
but the v3x has more so i would go for that

The price list goes until the 16th or 19th.... I think it'll come out just in time to be put on the new price list 🙂 that would be to east though... so I say the week of black friday, with a massive ad campaign to get customers into the store. Maybe special prices to entice them to visit black friday weekend, to get cust into the stores that would normally hit walmart, target, etc.
