Wondering what all you retail employees think about the commission payouts. Im personally tired of having to bust my ass activating 70 phones a month to clear a 1000.00 paycheck. not to mention how the foot traffic has been killed in the stores because of the wack promo's corporate offers and still expects high quota minimums. im in the north florida market and its gotten pretty sad how stingy the company is with there employees that are suppose to make them money. also tired every time theres a company meeting and they try to hype everyone up about new stuff that will happen involving the network and our customers but never talks about whats really relevant and thats keeping the employee happy to so they actually enjoy selling the product a...

Yeah, some people have been complainin' 'bout that.

I know both BlueToOrange22 and Zoom have said similar things here, among others.

yeah no kidding. i just got paid and couldnt do nothing but laugh. it was my lowest check ever for my sales. back last year my average was 3 times as much. all the **** there pulling with our pay has to be crossing the legal boundary somewhere or it should be illegal.

I work in N FL in a call center and we have union. I would think the retail stores should have the same benefit.

Maybe that's what they countin' on?

'cus maybe Cingular figures they can replace the people they lose pretty easily, an' the new workers won' be all pissed off, 'cus to them, they never got a pay cut.

lol.. my old call center in Sacramento is SUPPOSED to be staffed at 800 employee's... last I hread was just over 200. people are quitting at record pace due to the pay sucks, they treat you like crap, and they dont care.

Things were better when it was ATTWS. Too bad ATTWS didnt buy Cingular. oh well... ive moved on to another job that pays 3$ more per hour.

Yeah, or he could use the extra $6000 a year he's makin' now to put down a down payment on a new car, put the another one o' his kids through college, rent a nicer apartment, buy a house 'nstead of rentin', etc.

Its all in how you look at it, I guess.

No the pay will not get any better due to hemorrhaging customer base. You expect better pay. Deliver better service! Get rid of the union so the deserving can make more money and the undeserving leave and/or get terminated.

I did not know the retail employees also had a rate cut. These guys are REALLY screwing up!! This CEO is either every smart or very dumb. With my experience, very dumb. He's cut out his entire Dealer base and cut back his reatil locations. I would think you guys would be lookin at higher commission ammounts. You may be soon though. But that would be very smart...I think he's very dumb. as I say in my other thread, the new slogan to its loyal Dealer base, and now also its Retail employee base, is Cingular...Raising The Finger!!

I ask the same question Rizzo. And yet everyone from long term reps to managers tell me it will never get better.

They are squeezing us as far as they possibly can, knowing they can get away with it, bc there will always be people in line to take the job at whatever pay.

And yet they wonder why Secret Shop scores are low. PTO is being burnt off like a fat chick on a treadmill. People are walking at marathon pace, but they dont even seem to flinch. Amazing.

One of my former coworkers is now at TMobile. She says there is definitely money to be made, starting with the $2-3 more per hour. Plus, she says they dont even heavily emphasize features features features like Ole Blue & Orange. Never woulda thought of TMobile, but never woulda thought of 50% pay cut either.

No, they don't even mention features. They don't even tell you that you have the option to get mobile to mobile for whatever it is per month when someone and his wife are signing up for separate accounts. They just let your first bill come and let you see the 500 minute overage and then laugh at you when you ask them why they didn't tell you that mobile to mobile is an option.

This just happened to my neighbor. I thought T-Mo was supposed to have good customer service. IMHO, good customer service would be offering mobile to mobile to a customer when they are signing up. Especially when their wife is standing right next to them signing up as well. 🙄

They couldn't have the family plan due to each of them needing their own account for credit reasons - the wife needed an account in her name to get a car loan. A family plan would have only shown the account holder's name. So family plan was out. They needed individual plans.

And, contrary to popular belief, not everyone knows what features are available like those of us that frequent this website. He was not aware that it was a feature that was available on individual plans, and no sales rep told him that it was. He was only made aware of it when he asked me about it and I told him that every carrier offers it.

It is sad that someone who doesn't work in wireless (like myself) can present a carrier's features and the employees o...
