Anyone having trouble with the black razor?
I am now on my 3rd razor, the 1st had static in the background, the 2nd had the keys lock up making the phone useless, now with the 3rd one, the outer screen is blinking as the phone is charging. All of these have been mail exchanges with refurbished models. Is there a problem here or am I crazy?
Thanks,
Ascradar

The Cingular razr is a major piece of junk, with horrible build quality. I'm testing a protype razr for verizon with much better build quality. And of course it runs on verizons quality network. Just wait for the verizon one. Should be out in Nov

Well, that won't help someone who has Cingular, will it? 😛
I usually suggest avoiding Moto all together. They're overpriced for the features they offer, and Moto tends to have quality control issues. Try insisting on another model or manufacturer. I know T-Mobile has a policy where if you keep getting bad units, they replace it with a diff...

Not just Cingular's but the phone is a piece of junk all together. I have been through 3 Moto's in the year and a half. Verizon's RAZR will be no different. Verizon has also had problems with its Motorola phones. It is the manufacturer not the carrier. Look at the V710. Stop trying to get a subscriber and answer the ?
wrong wrong wrong
I'm field testing the Verizon RAZR and it's one tough cookie, let me tell you! Anything that can hold up to my field test is a winner. The Verizon razr is rock solid. I was out repelling this morning and the phone dropped 200 yards or so, not one little dent or scratch.
The cingular one would be o.k, if cingy could get a solid network.

I have a Verizon RAZR in my hand that says different!

maybe thats your problem. You talk to your cell phone. Where did you get it from anyways
A friend of mine works for Motorola! The rest is G14 classified. It's a nice handset
Everytime I see anyone posting about a phone problem on the Verizon forum, I'm going to say
"Well I'm field testing the new Cingular V3x, and boy that baby can handle anything! I was out surfing with it and battling sharks, and I accidentally dropped it in the water! When I swam back 50 miles to shore, I turned it on when it was completely soaked and it still had service! Plus it works way better than Verizon's stupid patchy network. Oh, don't believe me? Well say what you want but I have it right here in my hands! I work for McDonald's but Motorola asked me to test it out!"

i love when people say these things as if everyone has the same experience. i have a V3, have since the day it came out. i have not had ONE problem with it. i have dropped it 50+ times, on various surfaces such as: concrete, blacktop, tile floor, hardwood floor, berber carpet, plush carpet. not one problem whatsoever. no scratches, one minor "ding" ...

Plus Nokias are die-hard phones that are light and small. I suggest going with a Nokia phone. It may not be a RAZR phone, but it is very much worth your money.
Don't believe me? Just look at the phone reviews on this site: Moto's overall average is at 3.45, whereas Nokia's average is at 4.0

Your absolutely correct .. Motorola makes a good product but nokia has always made the best from what my customers tell me
As far as GSM is concerned, I'll take a Sony Ericsson over either Motorola or Nokia anyday.
TDMA was great for Nokia, but I got nothing but horrible sound quality from my Nokia. The RAZR was better than the Nokia for me, but my s710a is by far the best I have ever had for GSM.
