I have a Treo650 with VZW. I can take photos and videos. I can email the photos from the phone but I have to use MMS which VZW charges me to use. Oh, I forgot to mention that I pay VZW $45.00 a month for unlimited data plan so I can use the phone to access the web and process email. Now you would think the $45.00 was enough for VZW but as I mentioned in order to send photos I have to use MMS and pay additional fees. MMS and SMS do not support video so I have no option for sending my videos from my Treo650. According to Palmβs customer service, VZW has locked out my option to attach files to my emails. I could send photos and videos to whomever I wish if I could attach the files to emails but VZW has locked that feature. Palm says the...

I am switching to Cingular because Verizon has disabled bluetooth file transfer features for all of their phones. I did not find this out until I had bought a new phone, extended my contract, and got home trying to xfer a pic to my bluetooth laptop! Verizon is being sued for this, I found out. The customer service agent said bluetooth full operations would happen 'as soon as we can find a way to have it be profitable to do so.' she also blathered on about security....I HATE Verizon.
...
Well, now you know why their revenues keep going through the roof. They cripple every feature that would lower their revenue at the expense of the customers wants. That's VZW and that's why I will never sign up with them again.

I'm looking for help with my dilemma and you are worried about my postings? I am trying to reach as many people as possible who might be able to offer advise to fix what I think is a problem. You are a VZW rep so research my complaint and get back to me. Emotional or useless advise makes these forums useless.

LIKE I SAID IN THE OTHER FORUM.....Listen buddy I was trying to help you you have psoted this in every forum. I know for a FACT that you can send videos with the treo. I'm done figure it out on your own

Phonefool I dont know where you live but dude I promise you will get just as good coverage with Cingular. SO, that being the case why not just switch? If you switch to Cingular for data I'd recommend finding a Cingular BLUE store, seeing how we we're the experts on data products! Call around and ask if this is a former blue store and let your happiness start TODAY!!!! π No crippled phones, just unlimited bliss!!!!!!!!!! π

Thanks for your POSITIVE response, lol. Those VZW reps seem quite anal, lol. Iβm in Maryland and I found that VZW has better coverage but I have not been with Cingular for about a year before the merger so when my contract ends with Vzw I am going to research and probably make the switch to another carrier. You are saying Cingular does not lock out features like VZW does? I know they want to generate more revenue but $45.00 a month for data and no attachments in email, COME ON, lol. Thanks again.
P.S.Be careful, I think freedomrep is a stalker, lol. Freedomrep, take your meds, lol

This guy is a rep and I am a customer and he just cannot let up, lol. π€£

lol thats funny. i would tend to agree. freedom is like stevel. he was recommending sprint over vodafone. lol.
that is why to always think of the pros and cons of that service and say your say and thats it.

I live in Maryland too. Which part? DC Metro or Baltimore area? Annapolis?
...
I'd rather not be specific because I think freedomrep would come to my home and try and harm me, lol. That guy is a loose cannon.
...
lol
well it's true VZW gets better signal in MD but Cingular's is good enough imo
...
True True, but Verizon has more coverage, which I still don't get, when Cingular has more Towers!
...
Simple.
Cingular owns a larger network. Verizon has agreements to an even larger network.
Verizon only owns about 21,500 of their own towers, therefore a lot of their coverage is via roaming agreements. Cingular owns 45,000+ towers, so most of the coverage they offer is actually their own.
...
...do you know if they have plans to surpass VZW network, if so that would be great! Does Cingular lock out the email attachment features on its smart phones that have browser ans email service?
