if cingular got so bad as to have an "employee of the month" plaque in a workplace of 6 employees i would quit. it would put me on par with BK or Mickey D's.

my thing is if you don't like it QUIT!!!!! if you don't quit then SHUT UP AND TAKE IT!!! Do you want a pat on the head every time you sign up a new customer or handle a compliant?? Guess what it's your JOB!!!!! Value yourself! You chose Cingular or if you're in a market that Cingular took over, you chose the previous company. So get the sand out of your vagina!!! 😈

I personally feel quite valued at Cingular. Part of it I'm sure is having managers who make sure to thank, and appreciate the things that my co-workers and I do. Part of it too however is (at least I feel this way) Cingular really does seem to value their employee's. A small example would be to look at what they did after Katrina (and now Rita), and you're benefits package, and all the other things they do. Bottom line, the company is always going to look out for the company, just like you should always look out for you. If you don't feel valued then move on, chalk this job up to experience, and find something that you feel better suits you. 🙂
