Help w/v400 one touch voicemail dialing
ebbiApr 30, 2004, 10:39 AM
Got the V400 not too long ago. It came with the #1 key programmed to dial the voicemail. Is there a way to edit the number it dials to add a pause and link my voicemail password to it so I don't have to punch in my password everytime I check voicemail?

Hey ebbi, the voicemail is a pre-programmed number that links you to a generic voicemail setup. Unfortunately you can not set up a hard pause to put in your password. Sorry to say, you are just gonna have to dial your password every time.

you can put a puase in there..with most phones, after the VM number in the setup, hold down the pound (#) key until is shows a "P", then press pound and your password. save it and you are all set.
some phones are different that others, but most are this way

You CAN preprogram your voicemail number. Go to the messages menu and then hit the menu button (which is the middle one) and you'll see the options have changed. Go down to voicemail setup, select change on voicemail number, then when the number is on display you'll have to hit the menu button again and select insert pause. Then press either 1 or the star key, insert pause again, and then your voicemail password. Be sure to save it, and you're done

With the V400, in your voicemail setup option, when you go to the voicemailbox number, and then press menu, you should see "insert pause".
Insert 2 pauses after the number, push 1, insert one more pause, and then enter your password. It's a little slow but you won't have to enter 1 or your password. 😉
