Who Rated last in customer service?

Typical response from a cingular zombie.. All these national reporting agencies are a joke but not cingular wow are you dumb!! WAKE UP!!!

I work for a living, but I am by no means undead. I have never died. Percentages and ratios are accurate for comparisons, flat numbers are not. I've read many surveys conducted by consumer reports, and they're worse than exit polls. Their sample areas are poor and give a horrible representation. I give merit to agencies who conduct quality research, but consumer reports is a magazine written for people with the common sense of a ten year old.

Oh I must be crazy to think that an employee for the orange would stick up for there company! Your only training is in what buttons they told you to press for cingular lets not act like your intelligent in anything else. If you were you wouldn't be an employee of cingular! Nice try though

You're making yourself look bad, so I'm gonna stop this here. I don't work for Cingular. I'm in sales. I sell Cingular, but they don't pay me. My training was actually pretty boring and monotonous, but at least I've had it to fall back on. If you ever read Consumer Reports, you'd realize how droll it was. I've you've ever written a research paper, you'd also know where my comment on ratios and percentiles comes into play. I'm sure you've written one before, since most people have, so don't play dumb just to whine about a carrier you don't like.

It's common knowledge that Cingular customer service sucks. I deal with it on a daily basis. There's absolutely no reason for you to get excited about it. You have no room to argue with...

I quit caring about Consumer Reports years ago when they rated the Olsmobile Bravada better then the GMC Jimmy and the GMC Jimmy better then the Chevrolet Blazer. They were all three the same freaking vehicle! How could they possibly get different ratings?

I just bought a Pontiac Vibe and they rated the Toyota Matrix and the Vibe the same but then said to save money and buy the Matrix because comparable vehicles were MSRP at 1500 more for the Vibe. Oh, but they both have the same invoice (the Vibe just has more mark-up) and my Vibe had a 1000 rebate and 1000 conquest (since I was trading in a piece of crap Focus) so it was 2000 cheaper. Of course Consumer Reports didn't take the time to figure that out!

What escapes ZOMBIE, is the fact that a lot of the customers who complain so much, DONT HAVE THE SLIGHEST F'ING clue as to what rate plan they have, what their coverage area is, how to use their phone, etc, etc, etc......so OF COURSE it's all CINGULAR'S fault because they are DUMB F's....................right????????

Not cingulars fault at all for what you explained if a customer is that dumb then they shouldn't have a cell phone period. ZOMBIE is when no matter how many times your proven wrong or your company is proven wrong you continue to deny, deny, deny, deny! Or when you start saying all the major reporting agencies out there are full of sh**t, thats when your a ZOMBIE

Cingular doesn't score last in everything either.
They usually score right in the middle and have a couple of good spots. Not dead last but much room to improve.

Zombies are pretty mindless, and ralph is anything but mindless. I'd say you were looking a bit pale though.

Keep in mind that this includes at&t customers, tdma and gsm, that are all in thransition to the cingular service. Cingular Orange Customers are at the same level as verizon but the blue guys are watching the blue network go down as the orange network gets better. Its tough when those guys dont like the service, especially when they make roughly half of the customers. Therefore, half of the customers would noramally be complaining. That means that by the numbers, cingular should have a complaint ratio more than 2x verizons for them to have equal service on new customers. Only difference, its not 2x.

Boys boys Boys------Stop this who's is bigger mentality.

I fact I would not have to have BOTH Cingular and Verizon if they were both good in all major areas and in all areas.
I have more dropped calls with Cingular, but I'm not adverse to redial now and then for the other goodies Cingular does provide. A small inconvenience at best. Roll Over is a great thing since my usage varies from moth to month. I like having a $39 plan with 900 minutes in a roll over bank plus another 450 each month. I have 450 with Verizon as well if I don't use them I lose them even though I paid for them.
Internet usage is better with Cingular as I can make calls while browsing and browsing does not use air-time. BT is far better on my Cingular service. Rural a...

Cingular is number one in coverage, minutes, and phones! And their customer service is improving big time! My mom had great customer service from her rep and she didn't have to wait ten minutes to talk to someone!

Cingular rocks!

And...I really want the Moto V 551!

Hey Maverick. If Verizon is so good why do I have to have both Cingular and Verizon phone service?
I'll tell you. There is no internet availibility and "extended services" in much of the Midwest on my Verizon phone. Texas is terrible. I cannot use BT to move photos to my PC.
I am not saying Cingualr is great either but the point is I travel throughout this country for a living and absolutely could not do it with either service alone.

Until I can, they both are great and terrible depending upon what I want to do and where I am.

The only reason that is so is because the former AT&T customers were the most spoiled in the country. They got everything for free. Now they are with a company who is there to run a business. Not a bung of stoned hippies that don't care. Suck it up people. Nothing is free in this world.

yea they also think that Kia is a quality car, and that corvettes have "noisy" engines.

People rate thier customer service based on how much they can get away with and how much credit they can squeeze out. It has nothing to do with service

Consumer Reports is a Joke? I dont know where your getting that from, but for arguements sake we'll forget about that. According to the FCC, Cingular has the most complaints PER MILLION (that would be a PERCENTAGE, in case you dont understand) in all 3 catagories. The catagories consisted of "Service Complaints," "Billing Complaints," and "Overall Complaints." Congratulations Cingular, your #1!!!
