OZ Mail Text Messages

Recently I have been getting text messages from "3020" with the text "OZMAIL CI=c39428 16160..." just about 2 sentences of garble.

The same message over and over. I've tried to reply stop and quit. As Jamster & other services request you to do.

I haven't sent any SMS to anything like Jamster or other ringtone/blingtone provider or premium services.

I get about 1 - 3 a day and not a consistant time or amount.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of weeks ago. I was trying out the Nokia 6620 (which I've since returned).
I began with a service rep who tried the usual stuff like going through Cingularme to try to block it. That didn't work. I also made a pest of myself by forwarding a copy of every text message to his cell phone...about 10-12 a day.
He upped the ante and sent the problem to tier three and they seem to have tracked down the problem. I haven't had an OZMAIL text message in a week now.
Be persistent and make a pest of yourself to Cingular CS and they'll figure out how to stop it.

Did you download the Mobile email program into your phone and then switched the phone with another unit, if you did you need to find the original phone you downloaded the program into , activate the mobile email program and shut down the mail notification feature in the options menu. This solved my problem since I had downloaded the mobile mail program into my Razor and would get regular updates to the phone everytime someone left me a message in my yahoo mail box but whenever I would use my sim in my Sony 710a I would get that weird text from ozmail ,it took me a few days to make the connection between the two. The bottom line is to shut down the email notification feature in mobile email and the weird texts will stop, goodluck.

I was so glad to type in "OZMAIL" in the search field and find someone else had this problem. I have the Mobile IM on my Razr and just got the SE w600i yesterday. The moment I turned on the new phone, I immediately got 3 of those OZMAIL messages. Then I got a few more throughout the day, but have never had this problem with my Razr. I searched Cingular's customer forum, but nobody knew there. After reading morpheus928's post, it made sense. I put my sim card back in my old phone and turned off the email notification. So far, so good, and you just don't know how thankful I am to morpheus928 for figuring this out. I figured if I called Cingular's CS, they would ask me a million questions, put me on hold, transfer me a few times, and the...

Try sending the word Stop to 4884. This takes you off the list. This has worked for a lot of my customers.

We finally fix our problem with OZMAIL. We upgraded our phone. The previous phone did not have email or a data plan on it. The new one started sending us texts with 3020 OZMail on it X 10 a day. Tried the suggestions from the internet search i did but did not work. This is what we did. Go into your browser and pull up your email (ours is Yahoo) go into options and turn of email alerts. You would think AT&T would just post it on there website. Hope this helps it fixed ours. 😁

You should be able to call your tech support to get issue resolved. They should have the tools to resolve it within 72 hours or something.
