Hi,

I am considering changing carriers I currently have ATTWS, I am thinking about switching to cingular. The "salespeople" tell me that cingulars network is superior.

I also do considerable amount of travel all in the US.

Anyone have any input on how cingular compares to ATTWS as far as coverage and reliability go?

of course, it all depends on where you live, i don't know much about north nj, i'm in north carolina, but cingular's national network is one of the best (if not the best) in the nation, with attws, to get as much coverage nationwide, you have to get the digital one rate plans, which DO NOT even include n&w minutes! cingular's nationwide offers n&w minutes anywhere in the nation as long as you have service, and we also offer mobile 2 mobile minutes (included) that also work nationwide, we are one of the only carriers that offer that on nationwide service...i hope i've been somewhat of a help to ya!

I'm in the customer service technical department that serves the north jersey market. The GSM system there is improving, but we still hear complaints. If you do plan on establishing service with Cingular in the North Jersey market I would suggest a GAIT phone as the TDMA service is still much better (no logical reason why, but this is the feedback that we are getting from our customers).

I live in Morristown, NJ and I am on a GSM plan (1 month old) and the service where I live is not that good, not to mention that my college is a total dead spot..

would you by any chance have any info on new towers in my area?

or if cingular will allow some home roaming (on AT&T)?
