its not fair!!!!
(where I live (North Jersey) AT&T is much better, yet they get to use both networks, while I am stuck with TMobile's crapy coverage)

They are paying for it. Maybe not with roaming charges, but it is part of the ATTWS overhead.
The most effective way to express your complaint is in writing, to Cingular management. People are are NOT the company decision-makers, merely folks to work with or are interested in the company.

just wait, with the cingular buyout of attws it is only a matter of time till they intergrate the networks.....
Yeah...like 8 to 9 months, maybe more.

untrue, its already underway. in i believe 8 markets attws is able to use cingular gsm towers.
True.
Right now, Cingular and AT&T Wireless are two separate companies and must act that way, or face federal prosecution. We may certainly complete deals made before the buy-out offer. We may even make new deals along the same line, thought they would probably be inspected quite thoroughly by the anti-trust people. (As a result, I would expect there to be few, if any, new deals until this is resolved.) We may not, however, start acting as if we were only one company, any more then two oil companies could get together and decide what would be a good price to charge at the pump.
We will a...

that said i'll agree that final arangments are very much still in the works. however, looking long term the coverage that mendel was wishing for will be forth comming.

whats all this we **** dude? are u a ceo or board member of either company?
Nope.
I do, however, work for Cingular. That makes me part of the organization. Not a policy-making part, granted, but I didn't think the 'we' was too far out of line.
Due to my position and sources of knowledge, I have an inherent bias in my opinions. To deny that by not acknowledging my position as part of the company would be misleading, if not dishonest.

You DO know that with all the big words you're using he may not follow you, right?

Hi Myth. I am not here to start anything. I am curious to know how you and your fellow Cingular employees feel about the aquisition? Is there any tension, or aprehension regarding job security once this is finalized? My reason for asking, is that we received a company wide email last week, a question/answer so to speak from the big wigs at Cingular who say that their employees are just as aprehensive about job security as we at AWS are and really they are looking for the best of the best, and that's kind of the bottom line. I would be interested to know if the same types of question answer emails are going on over at Cingular?
Hi I am also a cingular employee and the answer is a little bit....

I hadn't really thought much about it.
Judging from past behavior, I would expect Cingular to keep the best of both companies, regardless of where they started.
Don't know how the union would affect this, though.

Why the open hostility? Maybe he does work for either company? How would you know? How would you know what the combined coverage will look like? Answer: you don't know. SO...let the networks integrate and THEN we'll know.
and thats my bottom line cause im tired of wasting my time on you

your a moron, it obviously more complicated to implement these changes, than to just overlay them. but if you want an overview of what coverage will look like. that will give a pretty good idea. they will combine the 2 networks to fill in gaps. along with changing many cell sites to 850.
and thats my bottom line cause im tired of wasting my time on you
The bottom line revolves around you not knowing how they will integrate their networks until that integration is complete. That's the bottom line.

Why not simply move to cingular gsm nation plan and then you will be able to use those towers?
I have the nation plan, but there is no roaming agreement with AT&T in my area

8 markets? I'm talking about the full-on, complete integration of their networks.
