SE T226 and the "wind tunnel"

bdk2000

Whenever I use my T226, the person on the other end tells me it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnel. I got it in October from Cingular. They've swapped it out for me four times now, but the problem persists. It's not the network, because my family's other phones get great results on the same network.

SE told me that all they can do is have me send the phone in for repair -- which will take at least 21 days!

Has any one else experienced this problem? Any suggestions?

I'm assuming you aren't in a wind tunnel, here.

Are you using a headset? Do you get the same effect with and without it?

It doesn't seem to make any difference at all whether I use my headset or not.

sometimes, cheap headsets cause the whole "wind tunnel" effect. you should've have a problem with just the phone. i've used one of them before, and i was very suprised at the quality of the phone for the price.
