Online Retailers - worth a try?
What is the scoop on online retailers like WireFly and LetsTalk? Are there any hidden pitfalls that I should know about? I know the rebate process is a pain, but even without that, their prices are better than cingular online.
My main problem with Wirefly is that I can't seem to choose two different phones on a family plan, but are there any other issues to be aware of?

the reaso other online retailers like that and best buy for instance have way better prices is becasue they made an agreement to sell new service for a company... so they sell these phone for alot less than normal so customer sign up through them... and they make there money back on other things that they sell... and probably the reason you cannot select differen phone for a family plan is just the way they desgn the site

Here is the note I leave on the account when a person wants a 3rd party price for example a discounted or free RAZR.
"Customer was calling about free RAZR offer that she saw on a third party website. Explained that we can only match cingular.com prices, and then explained all the dangers that go with a third party retailer ie. customer would be stuck with a etf from at&t, new phones numbers, and no responsiblity for Cingular if the order was incorrect."

I attempted to use 1800mobiles.com and there is a way for them to put multiple phones into one order. You just have to rig the system...
Doesn't always work for cingular but you can try...
Add 2 phone familyshare to your cart.
With vz there is a add a line option, add the phone you want
Delete the second phone.
I went through this order process with vz and it worked. You can also sometimes sign up for 1 year contracts through them, rare for online.

I just tried this, and it appears to no longer work, but if you call them they will definately do it for you and at the same price
