We are normally an inbound sales channel and today, lucky us have been turned outbound. We're all now calling Virgina Suncom customer because their phones were all programmed wrong and were deactivated. So we're starting to call each customer and reprogram their phones. This is all sooo odd. I have never programed a phone in my life and now I'm going to be doing it for 5 hours straight!!!!

So it's your contention that Cingular bears no responsibility whatsoever?

Just on the grounds of prima facie - I'd have to dispute this contention

It's all buisness customers that were sold to Suncom from At&t wireless. So we're manually reprogramming all the TDMA customers although many have already called in and had their phones fixed (in that case I don't have to do anything). So their phones have been working for years, but right now they are doing the switch and somebody messed it up and had the wrong SID in the phones so now we're calling and fixing that. From the sound of it..it's all the Carolina B-customers.

I'm gonna be doing something similar for the next month or so. We are calling CA and NV to custs who upgraded their phones after the merger but (the plp in the stores) did not give them a new 64K SIM. They just put the old 32K SIM inside the new phone.
So now we have to call them back in order to send them a new 64K SIM.
The funny thing is that we are doing one SIM per call, so if a cust has 4 lines we're gonna call them 4 times.
