Switching phones
I have a nokia 8260. One of my co-workers is selling a Nokia 3100 unlocked (what does that mean?). Can I use this phone in Alabama?? Does my phone have a Sim card or is it too old? I called customer service but she said she didn't know, that I should buy the phone and try it. But I don't want to spend the money if it won't work.

Your phone does not have sim card, and I would be careful with the "unlocked" phone. I have had customers with unlocked phones that have never worked. You will also have to change you technology to GSM and purchase a sim card. Someone correct me if I am wrong about the unlocked phones that is just what I have seen.

the nokia 3100 is a gsm phone, so it should work just fine with cingular service, i would buy it.
