CINGULAR DEPOSIT
Does anyone know what Cingular bases their customer deposit on? I have never had to pay a deposit with any other Wireles carrier and I have been with tons. Cingular is the first that asked me for a $250 deposit. I don't understand. Only thing I can think of is maybe address history? I have recently moved could this possibly be it? I know AT&T Wireless' credit weighs heavy on address history.

for you to have a $250 deposit there must be more than just an address change in there...they should have told you which credit company it was run through and should have given you information to obtain a free copy of your credit report

Nah I have perfect credit I don't understand. I had no deposit with AT&T, Verizon, I was approved with T-Mobile but refused to get their service. Then Cingular tells me $250. I was shocked. Could it be becuase I tried to start service at a Best Buy rathen than a Cingular store?

I have worked for Cingular for 3 years now, and i have never seen a 250 dollar deposit. Go to a cingular Store and see what it comes back as.

I am a Cingular employee and I have recently seen a deposit of $250...but how often do you have your credit run? Every time you run credit it deducts points from your credit score. Running your credit a lot in a short amount of time may have been the reason you had a deposit. Just a thought I had.
