My biggest fear with the 6101 is that the phone being a flip, will it get as good reception as any other Nokia non flips?

That's a great question. I've used the 6255i with metroPCS, and it gets great reception...very clear sound too. Nokia has never let down in regards to GSM reception...so I'm expecting as good or better.

Our Nokia rep was in today...according to her it tested on par with the 6010 in regards to RF performance. I don't know about your market, but here the 6010's one of the best phones for RF around.

That would be great is Cingular started carrying the 9300. That's a sweet little phone. We have some unlocked ones in stock (directly from Nokia) - I was truly impressed when we got them in. It's everything that you could want in a cellphone/PDA combo (except maybe wi-fi) - but it is fairly pricey.

I was also excited to see that it came standard with Opera as the web-browser. The 6101 looks pretty nice too - I think it's being released for T-Mobile in the next couple of weeks as well.

I'm not sure for the Cingular models. The T-Mobile version of the 6101 is *suppposed* to be released sometime before the end of the month (or at least that's what our regional rep told us). The 9300 has been available directly from Nokia for a while now. In fact, you can even get the 9500 directly from them, though it is a good amount more expensive.

I'm not sure on the Cingular end of things - my store sells GSM phones - but mainly T-Mobile and unlocked phones from Europe and Hong Kong. Maybe someone who's a little more connected will know . . .
