Employee Moral

Floyd

Just wanted to see if anyone is in the same boat as me and wondering if anyones else's moral for the company has ever been lower. I used to sell ATTWS now Cingular. I used to never not want to come to work. Now Cingular is so concerned with certain numbers and feature percentages that they ride our ass so much that this job is really starting to suck. With ATTWS I always felt like I was helping customers with their wireless needs and all were happy. Now I have to hassle them trying to get them to take features to make a certain percentage or our horrible RAE is up our ass, not because he cares about Cingy but because he's got someone up his ass. Now they are taking more away from all the agents, just nothing good is happening right now...

Yeah, the goddamned merger shot our morale to Hell. I used to think this place kicks ass. Now, with all the PAR and surveys we really miss the old company.

It's true, you dont know how many Convergys employees wish the contract with Cingular would end. That way we could have a different client and not have to deal with all of the bull.

Damn skippy. There's been a few days, not many, just the ones that end in 'Y'. Where I wish we could get a better client to outsource to.

Hell, with some of the shadier deeds the Comapny's done I think I might feel slightly less dirty if I took calls for Enron or NAMBLA.

oooohhhhh.... been there and done the microsoft care job where you truly are treated as a second class citizen if you are a care rep. couldnt park in the parking lots adjoining the building your vehicle would get towed, had to park down the street and catch a shuttle, 300 reps clamed on the top floor which happened to have the least floor space with less than 300 people total in the 5 floors below. dont think about getting up and going to the bathroom unless its a scheduled break, dont think about getting any benefits because it takes years to be a blue badger instead of a gray badge, most times you would be call monitored at least 3 times a week and sometimes 3 different people would be listening to the same calls and every last score would...

😁 This may sound like a great idea but it would never fly. It would make everyone smile when they came into work. The Suggestion should be made, it would be so cool:

Just like a cust can pay $175 to cancel service. Wouldn't it be nice if us as reps could do the same thing and get rid of cingular? If you all think it would work, I was joking about this the one day, but hey wouldn't that make it a happier place for reps. Moral would be at its highest ever, just don't bring in maybeliene, makeup isn't my cup of tea. Ritz Carlton maybe, that would be sweet! Just a suggestion to make a few reps laugh! Hope you smiled... 🙂

Actually, It's the North American Man/Boy Love Association. It's an advocacy group for the repeal of age of consent laws. Basically a social club for pedophiles.

Don't you think that is just a little too far comparing Cingular to the scum of the earth? Man, I can't understand why people trash Cingular so much. Yes, they don't do things the way AT&T used to. I loved working for AT&Tws, but Cingular is the company that is still going, so I have to try to adapt or move on. This same thing happened with the last 2 companies I worked for. I think the people unhappy and complaining should look inside and figure out where the bitterness is coming from. I don't agree with all Cingular does, but I'm going to do my best for them.

This person either doesn't work for cingular or holds a higher level position lol

Well, the bitterness comes from the constant micro management, general feeling Cingular doesn't like us outsourced TDMA reps, every month some thing new comes out to make my job suck that much more, degrading close call survey, removal of my ability to fix major billing issues on the spot for the customer, reduction of useful tools and ways to pacify my angry customers, the dirty feeling I get whenever I migrate someone who used to have a $29.99 rate plan and that price point worked for them, the company still keeping up the facade of the EDGE Rewards and never giving out the points for migrations anymore, and a host of other little reasons.

I genuinely feel that this company is run by Snidely Whiplash.

Yup, except I do TDMA. I heard that the CEO has an e-mail address. Which does me no good as you can't put blackpowder and roofing nails in an e-mail.
