Well I have waived a couple term fees. I mean in two years I think I have waived three. Those were cases that I felt Cingular did not hold up their end of the contract. And the customer has been cooperative with Cingular customer service in trying to get the issue resolved.

I didn't know that we were forcibly changing anyone's plans. Especially if they are locked into a contract....

SHe's trying to add a line. CAn't add a line to Blue accts

She's changing terms of her contract by adding a line. She has to go to a current plan.

As of June 1st there are no more new Blue Activations. The only exception might be some business accounts with contractual obligations. Even then I am not sure if they can still do that. but regardless of any blue devices left there are no more new activations on blue

actually, you are incorrect. Mamosley is right, we can add to qualified blue accounts. How do I know this? I'm in that department!

The criteria for whether or not we can add is as follows:

CAN ADD TO-
~Current Shareable GSM account
~No Past-Due amount "Active In Collections" (30+ days)
~Has not reached the maximum of Shared lines (up to 4 lines sharing from same minutes)

WE DO NOT HANDLE-
~Can't add to TDMA accounts
~Can't add any non-Shareable GSM plans
~Can't add to account if it is not already a Shareable plan
~Can't change rate plans
~Can't migrate from TDMA-to-GSM (blue-to-blue)
~Can't upgrade equipment
~Can't perform blue-to-orange migrations

I thought that if she was under a family plan with the terms outlined already, and she added a line, she would be bound to the terms outlined.

I have a family talk plan right now. If I add a line to my account, would I have to change plans or can I just add for 9.99?

I'd probably have to change anyway, to get more minutes. Do you know if doing that would cause a contract extension?

You most certainly can.
The customer must provide their own equipment, sign a new agreement, but they wont get any large promotions like the $10 off credit lowering the monthly service to the $9.99.

they can obviously still share the minutes, they just wont get any old promotions that AT&T wireless used to offer [ie; the $10 credit, early nights and weekends on the add'l line, etc.]

also not true. We have the equipment (though it's only 4 models to choose from). With a 2yr agreement, they do get bonuses like the 10.00 monthly discount.

that sounds suspect. the $39.99 promo plan with 1000 minutes was not shareable. a $39.99 shareable plan was either 400 minutes nation wide, or 600 regional. the $9.99 add a lines were on plans $59.99 or higher.

Do a change of responsibility to an active duty service member. Then have the service member deployed and fax in a copy of the orders.
