SERIOUS ISSUES WITH CINGULAR BUSINESS PRACTICES!!

I was up until recently a cingular BLUE customer with a 1000 anytime minute plan with unlimited night and weekends for 39.99. I received a text message from Cingular informing me that if I would migrate I would receive a plan for 1000 minutes.

I went to a Cingular store and I was told by the store representative that there was a plan for 1000 minutes WITH 5000 night and weekend minutes for 39.99 for people migrating from BLUE. Since he could not access the plan but could see it on the computer, the representative informed me that the 450 anytime minutes with 5000 night and weekend minutes plan for 39.99 would be used, and that 550 minutes will be added to that plan. Do a search under 1000 minutes and you will find a thread with a number to call. Never heard anything back from the other guy so I would assume his issue was fixed.

According to that thread the plan is indeed available but only certain departments can offer said plan. We don't do migrations in my market so don't ask me to explain why. If you want the problem solved try the search and call the number.

thank you texaswireless. i have seen your responses before on this forum and have gained much respect for your insight and honesty.

i actually did already research the topic and did call the number provided. i was under the assumption that the issue was the same as well, but i now believe that it is different. i think the difference is in the plans. the contract that i signed stated that i would be receiving 1000 anytime mintues and 5000 night and weekend minutes for 39.99. I believe the plan the other person had issue with was a 39.99 plan for 1000 anytime minutes with NO night and weekend minutes. customer service apparently could offer me that plan.

cingular is f**** on this issue because he has a signed contract for a 39.99 1000 5kn/w. We have to give him that plan somehow. This is an issue for office of the president. If this plan does not exisit they need to create it. We have to give this customer that plan. What state do you live in I will nake it happen.

I don't know what is going on in Schaumburg. I don't know what Cingular is going to do with us. Plus I have done everything in Cingular customer service that ou can do. I think I need a new challenge a new thing. If I go to Harrisburg it will be in a new position not something I have done before.

Who knows what is going to happen. I could end up in Harrisburg or I could end up in corporate accounts in Hoffman Estates in the SBC building. By the way Hoffman Estates is right next to Schaumburg.

Hello there sorry to be so late to reply to your post, and also I hate Texas WIRELESS, HE GIVES ALOT OF MIXED INFO ON THIS SITE. about ur 1000R/UMM/5KNW plan, it is INDEED available!! for 39.99, this plan is only available for customers that are migrating from BLUE TDMA that were on the plan before, all you have to do is call into the RETENTION center or customer service and have them to put you on the plan for 39.99 1000R/UMM, the NW option is not available to csr's. . .trust me i helped have this promotion put out there. as soon as customer service puts u on the plan let them know that you received the offer in the mail. . within 1-2 billing cycles the 5KNW will be added to your account by a back end group that audits accounts. this wi...

Apparently you weren't paying too much attention. The customer already stated they tried this and got the run around, he also stated he tried the number that was previously posted for this same issue and specifically asked for the RETENTION department.

thats due to lack of training, and i can see it for you too, I'm not here to start a war or anything like that. . . and no the GinandJuice isnt in me yet. I want to help the customer, alot of people put out bad info on this site, and its not our fault that our company fails to train reps about certain promotions. . let me give you a tip. . .(search THE BIBLE) CSP, for Direct Mailers-CA/NV, look for late April Mailers, and read carefully and tell me what you see, all of you need to view this. . . and try to assist the cusotmer as much as we can. How? By admitting I don't know EVERY thing about this company. Sorry, im not gonna eat, sleep and drink Cingular. I know how to use my resources, I don't ever plan to know every little freakin detail of every aspect of this company. What matters is I assist MY customers, and I gaurentee in the time I have been here, the customers who speak to me get what needs to be done, done. That doesnt mean I have to know everything, just how to find the information I need.

how do i contact RETENTION?

a customer service rep did put me on the 1000r/umm plan. how will i be notified before the 1-2 billing cycles that the 5KNW will definitely be added. in 1-2 billing cycles i will be beyond the 30 day trial period and i only foresee more issues. any thoughts?

diall, 611, go through the automated system and press the option for closing your account, tell then that you received a VIP offer, and request the plan for 39.99 1000R/UMM, u must in fact be eligible for the plan, they will put u on it, then a back end group will add the NW for you

i understand what you are saying but how can i be assured that the "back end" group will add the NW for me since everyone i talked to says that is not possible?

also, i already signed a contract stating such terms at a cingular store. i am trying to actually get the plan that is stated in my contract. the store manager and all the customer reps are telling me now that it can not be honored. is the "back end" group not communicating this plan to everyone in the company? and i was migrating from BLUE TDMA as well.

thanks for the tip. i called customer service and tried to get retention but had trouble. finally, agent talked to her supervisor. she didn't transfer me. she said he knew about this deal that i was offered. he told her that she needed to create a case.

is that right? she said i should her back about it in roughly 10 days from "billing dept."?

i don't understand why no one has heard of this. i was told store agent was wrong to offer me that plan, but you are saying that it exists. why is there a problem in communication anout this?

Well,

Store agents are not allowed to offer retention products. My guess is they heard about the plan from somewhere (here?) and wanted to try and help you out. They then called their rep to help you and found out they couldn't. Only the people who can perform the change should do it.

The intentions were good, but infortunately the outcome wasn't.

I called Cingularwoes and I looked into this situtation. The dealer wanted us in customer service to give 550 mintues to this customer. Plus signed him up for the gsm antion 450r u2m 5kn/w. But telegance will not allow you to do that. The dealer noted the account of the offer so it must be done.

the 1000 min with 5000 night and weeekend min is only done by 1 specific number, no one can give u this number becasue as with all special deals they expire, if you ever get something statuing ur elgible for something " out of the norm" simply look if there is a number, and if there isnt a number call customer service we have a " customer issue log" where we track issues that goes to the people who make the deals and such iahve seen alot of things happen from this

That text message you recieved is a promotion that our dept deals directly with. It includes 1000 anytime, but no nights and weekends. Now, we used to offer the 5000 nights and weekends..if you still have the text message call the number on it, and you'll get our dept..I believe even though we don't offer it right now, you could get it added personally by a sup.

thank you for your help. i did call the number i reached on my cell phone and unfortunately got the run around there too. they told me the same as the other customer care people. he said the plan did not exist and so could not make any alterations. when i asker for a manager i was transfered to a different department.

I hate when customers on here were told that Cingular said they can't do it, even though it's in the contract. Are Cingular employees not given a crash course in contract law? Maybe that will prevent employees from doing stuff like they did to you. You have a contract with them, and they have a few choices. One is give you what you contracted for. Two, take you back to where you were before the contract. Three, let you stay on the 1000R/UMM plan and each month remove minutes up to 5k on NW.
