parents are too soft
well I just got a call from a mother who was actually not in denial. She called in because she recieved an invoice over $500 due to her 2 children using mmode, txt messaging and going wayyyyyyy over their minutes.
Initially the customer wanted to suspend both of the lines until her children would become responsible- I advised her of our new policy where we can't suspend, but we can "opt out" of pretty much everything except MMODE. She seemed more than happy with that idea. she wanted me to opt those lines out of everything i could. But by the end of the call she had me add...

the call that made me go 😳 was when a guy called in to suspended a line(months ago) had 4 lines on the account
seems his youngest had taken her(the childs) phone to school with them even though she knew that her kindergarden class didnt like it when his 4 year old child brought it
go figure

when did this policy start??? I dont see it in CSP under "Policy and Procedure: Suspension of service"
It is probably for the blue side we used to be able to suspend for vocational for up to 6 months for a fee of 9.99 however it was not permitted if the service was past due it had to be current. now we can no longer suspend for vocational anymore.
Why not, you ask?
BECAUSE I WAS A FRIGGIN' KID!!!! 😛
Maybe thats just the way I was raised, I dunno. Anyone here have a cell phone when they were a kid?
I only got a cell phone when I was 19 and still didn't feel as if I was responsible enough for a bill, so I stuck with prepaid.
I actually love it when parents call in about this and they believe ME!!! It's awesome to hear that kid squirming saying I'm lying and the mother just says, "oh yeah.. SHE'S lying, huh?.. I'll deal with you later. Call your friends now and tell them you won't see them for a few weeks."
One woman actually 3-wayed with her son and me and started yelling at him in Spanish while I was on mute. He just kept yelling back "geez mom, not in front of the phone people, god!" Oh the things we hear!
