Question for all the cingular dealers and agents. If you got secret shopped and you scored 47 out of 100, then you got fired, can the managers rehire you in that same store???

I would have to think No, they wouldn't be able to. I think the better question is, would they want to?

Agents can do whatever they choose, considering they are all independently owned and operated. The other question posed is valid, do they even want to hire you back?

While you're right that the company may not choose to re-hire someone with such a low shop score there are things they have to weigh. Is the person actually a good employee? Are they a good salesman with real customers (cause we know that Mystery shoppers don't act like real customers, at least not the ones who've shopped me). And finally is keeping that one person and retraining them to get a better score worth risking the consequences of Cingular noticing consistent low scores in your store.

And yes low scores DO happen to good salespeople. I tend to be the highest selling person in my store (and we're a low volume store so every act. counts) and the first time I was shopped I got a 63 because the shopper didn't allow me to get to t...

secret shopping is just another waste of money that causes our rate plans to be higher than they could be. i have yet to see where a secret shopper acts like the typical cingular customer. in my market most people dont give a crap about the things that they want to hear. i think we should cater to our own customers needs instead of the bs the company thinks we should cram down their throats. if we did this we would have happier customers, less calls to customer service with questions that could have been answered in the time we have to spend talking about garbage and happier customers mean repeat customer which in turn is job security.
sorry for the rant just my 2 cents!

well, at a corp store...there's NO WAY they could fire you for ONE bad secret shop...there had to be other contributing factors to their termination....as for a dealer, i have no idea 😕

the reason I asked that is I used to work for a cingular dealer and when I worked there, there was a another sales person, we were the top sales people.but we never got along, because i was getting angry i ended up fixing her problems too. when i became the manger she became my asst manager, i could get any work done so i resigned from my job. after she became the manager she scored 47 on secret shop, and she got fired. well I applied in dealer for sprint and guess what she was working there, thank fully we never worked on the same shift. well 2 days ago she went back to the old job, so i was wondering if they could hire some one with a low score.
