im sick of cingular
havent been able to send a text message in two days
and when it does finally go thru, they receive 3 of the same message(im sure they are charging me for all 3)
non stop problems with them

Wow I work and csutoemr care and I am not awful and Cingular's service survived a hurricane in Florida without an outage. Rates are not perfect but competitve and all of the nationwide companies are going to be raising prices.

The only times I have problems sending texts is when I don't have full bars on my phone (when I'm inside a brick walled building etc...)

No offense, I went through three of the four hurricanes. They crossed right over my house in Osceola county. Believe it or not, the first one, had service during it, right after it ended, it went down for a week... Second one as soon as the wind picked up, it almost seemed like someone shut the system down like a switch. Also down for a couple days... Third, don't remember, drunk and the land-line (Sprint) still worked...

I TOO am getting errora when sending SMS. Also the person on the other end is alos receiveing 3 of the same message.... It has happend on 3 different phones and on both of my phone numbers now.... sheesh...

Nah i still think that the reason your not getting txt is becuase no-one likes you.

It can take up to 24 hours for SMS to be delivered. Duplicate messages happen sometimes becuase of delays and signal issues.

So much for text messages being quick ways to communicate. I guess VZW has led us to expect what is normally impossible with other carriers. đ

I've personally never had that issue with any carrier other than sprint, but I have never even heard anyone complain about it with VZW.

Now there Shawn, let's play nice... And VzW still has text issues, my friend that works for VzW is always sending me messages that come through as duplicates and sometimes even as triplicate. Same thing with Nextel, whenever they send to me they are always, and I mean always, duplicate, not to mention when I send them a message it takes hours to go through.

Yup, the only text messaging that is instant is IM. Text messaging is not instant it can take hours same thing with MMS.

Oh, I am playing nice. I was just in a mood to provoke some fights this morning. And plus I have a grudge right now because Cingular told me that they would bill me for a warranty replacement for just a scratch on my phone.

Please have someone in customer service check your message center number. It sounds like it's incorrect in your phone. If I knew what market you were in I could probably check it for you.
