Email Campaign to Save OUR Jobs

i think everyone should email starting a campaign to save our jobs......i was just laid off along with 13 other employees....and yes all of us were legacy blue employees. anyone wanna help....our customers are mad our store is closing đŸ˜ĸ

ATTW was purchased, not merged with, so there will be layoffs. unfortunately since you are not union i don't think you get the same "surplus" offer that union employees get. (benefits and pay for X amount of time based on tenure)

on a side note, there are orange employees losing jobs too, but that's what happens when there are 2 stores next to each other that were once competitors.

all the emails in the world won't stop it. its a business decision. i feel bad for you, don't get me wrong. i've been on the short end when i was with bell atlantic when they merged to become Verizon and i lost my job. nothing i could do about it.

i know.....and it sucks......in my market only 4 orange customer service reps not sales reps got lai off as opposed to 14 sales reps on the blue side.....its awful im taking it hard and not myself right now...sorry đŸ˜ĸ

custoemr care will probly expereince layoffs at the end of the year. I think the call center I work in wlll be closed.

in the market I work AT&T had fewer stores. but they were bigger, and better locations. Cingular had a lot of small stores, so after the merger only orange stores closed. I was fortunate to find a position at another orange store rather than getting laid off. I dont think that cingular uses blue or orange to make the distinction of which store to close. It appears that the base the decision on productivity, and cost of operation. Also one of my bosses made a good point. in this market cingular has been around since 2001. at&t has been here since the 80's there are more customers who know and trust their local blue store.

it is the same in my market but the vp was a blue employee and they fired him and brought in an orange vp which then decided to close all the blue stores....rumor has it the new vp is "pro cingular"

i was hoping your store would stay open and thrive so i could transfer. it's literally 45 seconds from my house, but instead i drive 45 minutes every day ☚ī¸

where are u at....im at 2 stores and they closed both đŸ˜ĸ đŸ˜ĸ i live 30 min from my first store and 15 from the second

i am still waiting to hear about the 3 jobs i did post for in the company....when i asked about the other 2 i was told they had to offer them to the orange employees that had been surplused( which was hardly any laid off) and they have 7 days to respond

Cingular doesn't care about Blue Stores, they'd rather hire new orange reps who make less money. I got lucky and scored a good job 2 weeks before my store is closing down. I'll have fun not giving a crap for the next 3 weeks. 😎
