2) and does it make any diffrence if its a cingular phone, (that I am sending to, or is sending to me)?
3) how does the wireless internet plans work?
4) is the insurance worth it?
5) if I were to get a wireless internet card for my laptop, how would it compare to dial up?
1) Yes you pay for both incoming and outgoing text mssaging on a pay per use basis it is .10 per message sent and recieved. You can sign up for a text messaging package which can really help with the cost 2.99 for three months of unlimited and then 100 messages for 2.99.
2) No it does not make a differance
3)The wireless internet packages are pay per use .1/2 cent per kilobye not monthly service cost pay as you go or one mb for 6.99 14.99 for two mb all the way up to 74.99 for unlimited wix. 1) how much is long distance to Canada?
2) if on the website, my number is availible to port (under LNP) is it possible for it not to work at the store?
> work at the store?
Yes. This in fact turned out to be the case for my wife. The software that Cingular uses to compute LNP on the Website is NOT the identical software that was used to for moving the number from Sprint to Cingular. This was news to our Cingular store rep at the time (Dec. 31st).
And the unsuccessful LNP attempt left my wife's account at Sprint in an "in-between" state. Sprint required me to have Cingular formally cancel the request so they could discontinue the Sprint account. Not a big deal, but symptomatic of the kinds of problems you can get with business-to-business software transactions.
(I see no info on the website)
