Moving from AT&T & international SMS's

I am thinking of switching from AT&T. I like my current service but as far as SMS's, internet, etc. Cingular seems to be offering a better deal. Can anyone who's already switched from ATTWS offer any feedback? What about coverage in NYC/Central NJ area?

I've been browsing Cingular's website for quite a while and finally found the international SMS section. It only mentions a few carriers in the N & S Americas you can send SMS's to with no mention of European carriers. Also there is no information on cost, i.e., how much it cost to send an SMS overseas, and how much it costs to send an SMS while roaming overseas to a recipient overseas and in the US. Can anyone provide this info?

Thanks in advance.

I work fro cingular in customer care. You should be able to send text message to europe. The carriers listed on the site are those cingular has agreemnts with at this time. No carier can gurantee completly service especailly while roaming in other countries.

.10 per message unless you have a text messaging package.

There are never any roaming charges for data services, so text all you want instead of racking up international roaming for phone calls.
