My wife and I recently purchased Samsung Mythics and we are not happy with our phones.

We are in the market for a QWERTY keyboards phones that are not "smartphones"

We understand that we will have to pay full price for the phones and we are fine with that.

Do you have any recommendations for what we are looking for?

Where to purchase?

Will we have to get a new contract?

Please no touchscreen keyboards.

Thanks

The mythic is not a smart phone. It's considered a "quick messaging devicice" It doesn't require a $30 data plan. Quick messaging devices do require $20 in data features though. But if you have family unlimited texting that's nothing to worry about. Any phone w/ a touch screen or a keyboard that's not a smart phone is considered as such.

Probably the 2 best qwerty phones att is currently carrying are the Samsung Impression and the LG Xenon. The Xenon it looks like is out of stock on the website and is probably being discontinued but some stores may still have stock of it.

If you're in the 30 day period you're allowed 1 exchange w/ a $35 restocking fee, so that may be an option.

If your outside of that it's full retail. If you...

This probably goes against the norm, but my wife was in a similar type situation.

I ended up going to my local walmart and buying her a Go Phone, it was an LG Neon.

I am sure some people will say something bad about this phone as everyone has an opinion, but it does the job. She doesn't want a whole lot of features, just a qwerty keyboard for her texting and occasional web use, which this phone does well for her.

The only touch screen part of the phone is when you go to dial, and it vibrates a little so you know you hit the button, it actually works very good.

I am sure some people will say something like you cannot swap out for a Go Phone, but the wording that is inside the box says, if you are replacing your existing AT&T phon...
