The same data plan as a locked at&t smartphone! Please don't think you'll get anything over on at&t! Data unlimited, is unlimited data aka INTERNET ACCESS! WEB, EMAIL, ETC, ETC. 😁 Trust me, At&t can tell if your phone is "smart" or "stupid", so you may get away with it for a few months, but they'll figure it out and you'll be charged the correct price!

Stupid Phones $15 unlimited data 😡

Smart Phones $30 unlimited data 😁

data on smartphones is $30 for unlimited access.

I would try and add family data unlimited for $10 that is used for all other phones and if they force the $30 plan on your account then oh well....but if they don't then your saving some change.

It really sucks that AT&T forces data plans onto smartphones.

This has been argued and discussed on this site since ATT started to require the data package last September. There are several reasons that ATT requires the package:

1) ATT did not require the package before because they did not offer as many "quick messaging phone" (phones that are not smart phones, but have a full keyboard for texting). Now ATT offers around a dozen phones that have a full QWERTY keyboard that do not require the $30 data package on them.

2) Money (ATT, like any other carrier, or for that matter, any other business, has to make a profit to survive and grow. ATT and their dealers make VERY little money on the sale of a smart phone. The profit margin is very small because of competition and in order for ATT (or Verizon...

$30 unlimited data for smart-phone.
$15 unlimited data for non-smart phone.
$10 unlimited data for non-smart phone that also has unlimited texting ($30 for unlimited data/text on a single line).

If a phone is tagged smart phone... it's smart-phone prices - otherwise it's non-smartphone.

it's actually
$30 for smart
$15 for dumb
$10/per line only on fam talk plans with the $30 family mess plan.

it kills when att charges $30 on smart phones that they are just trying to pull money but like everyone else said they werent the first to do it. if you dont want to pay $30 dont get the smartphone, there are plenty of other phones that will do what u are probably looking for.

you can get $10/data on a single line for a dumb phone... with $20/texting.

Not that I've ever done that before, personally... only really deal with family plans OR GoPhone on AT&T.

So I could be wrong.

$10 Data add on with any unlimited messaging package. That's why there's a "Data/Messaging Unlimited" for $30.
