* Why for three more days??

So many reasons.... Corruption within the agent company I work for... also 50-55 hr weeks with a DIFFERENT schedule each week, thus making me married to my job instead of my wife... Since my store opened up, there have been more agent stores to come into the same mall so that there are now FOUR stores that sell Cingular, so that means lower sales/commissions due to gross oversaturization of the product. I don't care HOW good a product is - more stores doesn't always mean more sales! Also, I was lied to about some tax stuff & ended up owing the state government $95 b/c my employer didn't take out enough taxes. No medical insurance, as I was told I'd have..... A...

Thanks. I'm not bitter toward Cingular. 95% of my discontent lies with the agent company. I know that there are some good ones out there, but my experience working for one kinda soured me. I am still a happy Cingular customer 🙂

Yeah, Cingular has their problems, but so does ANY huge company.

Although I appreciate the sympathy, I also don't want people thinking I'm trying to have some kind of pity-party for myself - just answering the question of why I'm leaving my job. I'm still going to hang out here on PS. I've met too many great people & had too much fun here not to. I just won't be able to be here during the 8-5 hrs anymore!

Thanks Shayby. The encouragement is great. Its nice to receive such a compliment. I have prided myself on being a rep who tries to build the relationship w/ the customer & not just think about the sale I'm getting today.

My district mgr is more interested in motivation by intimidation & telling us what bad salespeople we are since we don't hit quotas. It means a lot to get a compliment like that from a fellow rep. 🙂

Actually, I'm in the kiosk on the 1st floor.... The 3rd floor is the CORP store. Ironically, I have a lot of customers who have bought from me b/c they say that the guys upstairs are unfriendly. 😉

But if you ever saw the signs they had, then you'd know that they are "THE REAL CINGULAR STORE" (sticking head in trash can to vomit) đŸ¤Ŗ

Ooohhh... *phew*... I thought I was gonna have to ridicule you for working for PCS... I used to work there and they had to be one of the worse dealers out there. I'm sure you have it better than the reps there. Too bad you're leaving though. Maybe you should consider working for a COR store...

The thought did briefly cross my mind. Last time I checked, though, there weren't any openings in the area. If I did, then I definately wouldn't want to be in the CORP store @ 4-Seasons. No mall kiosk for me. Outside stores look much more lucrative. More reasonable hours, plus, everybody who comes in the store is a customer. I know that sounds weird, but, in the mall, its sometimes tough to differentiate between a real customer & the casual passerby who happens to slow down & turn their head as they pass your store.

The name of the company is Advanced Electronics Inc. dba Go! Wireless...The company in itself is great, we treat customers great, it's just getting old dealing with customer service issues, and, of course, the people that tell me what to do, LOL. Mount Airy is such a small city and is saturated with indirect agents, it's crazy, we have 3 places to buy Cingular in about a 1/4 mile area, and there are a total of about 7 places elsewhere in the city; not to mention competition from other carriers. It's beginning to be customer service or upgrades, all the time. I have only done maybe 1 new activation (brand new customer) this month! It's ridiculous. I want to stay selling Cingular, I'm just ready to go somewhere where the customer's and th...

I hear ya man... 3 stores in 1/4 mi! Try 4 stores all in Four Seasons Mall in Greensboro! When my store opened in October, the only other Cingular store in there was a CORP store on the 3rd floor. In Feb, "The Mobile Solution" stupidly opened up 2 stores in the same mall. This is insane. I don't see 4 Gaps or 4 Abercrombies or 4 Victoria's Secrets.... Even if each of those Mobile Solution stores only do 30 acts/month (which would suck), that's 60 acts that aren't going to my store & the corp store. We haven't hit our quotas in a couple months as a result.

I think it was JessiCSR who, only a couple weeks ago, was quoted as saying something along the lines of: "Goodbye Cingular, I shall not miss thee. I am not a social worker damm...

I really don't understand why Cingular allows stores to open up like that. It looks like to me that they would put a limit one area having so many stores. In Mount Airy, one dealer has three stores! all within, literally, a walking distance, and he sells cingular, alltel, sprint, and nextel at every one of them.

Yeah... I don't get it. They think that more stores equals more activations, but it doesn't necessarily work that way in reality. Instead you end up w/ frustrated salespeople/mgrs who can't meet goals & have sorry commission checks (amongst other things).

Today I'm trying to be more positive.... I'm waiting on a phone call to tell me that the FedEx guy has delivered my s710a to my house. Hoping that today is the day....

Just log onto Media Net on your phone & do a search for "Tom Sawyer". There are a few other Rush ringtones, but the only other one I liked was the "Spirit of Radio" ringtone. These ARE mp3 music tones.

If you're just searching by category, then you'll find all the Rush tones under "classic rock".
