I officially hate iPhone customers.
I needed a new SIM, mine crapped out. So I go into my local AT&T before class and every rep is busy with people either wanting to purchase an iPhone, or b*tching about their iPhone and service. I leave and then come back during my class break...longer lines...again, iPhone people, gah!
I come back after class, when the store is ten minutes to closing, and this time, I only had a couple of iPhone people in front me, so I wait. The reps shared my pain and one of them asked the rep who was helping me to go lock the door. I said, "I'll do it, it will give me great pleasure to lock out any iPhone customers from getting in my way to new SIM card!" They laugh as I sprint to the door (about the ONLY SPRINTing I'll ever be doing) and lock it....

So now that you have a NEW sim card, is service any ?better? I'm curious! And when you respond, please share where you live, and what phone you use.

In most cases a swapped out sim is the same cop-out answer as a software/PRL update at the CDMA carriers. Something to get the customer our of the store and on their way. A lot of times it's just the thought that things will get better. Mind over matter kind of thing.
Software update will allow your phone to stop freezing. PRL update will help (or hurt sometimes) you while roaming, not in market. A new sim card shouldn't be necessary unless you fried your old one.

I always love it when I have a phone issue and they tell me they'll do a software and PRL update. Then when I say that's BS they give me that same dazed look...like gee...a customer who knows what he's talking about? WOW.

Yeah, I had a damaged SIM, I get full bars and I don't cut out.
I live in the United States of America and I use a Nokia phone. Oh and I have AT&T's cellular service.

I admit, it is a cool device, but I prefer actual buttons to dial on, and I can't do a QWERTY keypad, I need to have the standard dialing keypad, you know, in case I have to dial numbers like 1-800-CALL-ATT or other numbers with letters in them.

One unfortunate element that isn't my favorite is that once you have a call in progress, you have to flip icons in order to get to the speaker phone or the dial pad to work your way through an automated attendant.
The interface to do that is definitely gee-whiz cool, but it's a hassle when on traditional phones, the touch tone pad is right *there*.

I agree from what happened today.
Customer comes in with her iphone hands it to me.
C- Fix my baby its just stuck on the screen that says its calling and it won't do anything else.
I grab the phone and do a soft reset by holding down the power button and main button on phone which takes a bit to do.
Me- Ok let me just do a reset on your phone that should fix it.
C- I am SOOOO thirsty will you get me some water?
Me- Sure no problem. Let me finish getting your phone to work first.
C- Whats wrong with my baby(iphone)
Me- Not sure, but this should fix it.
C- Where's my water.
Me- I'll get it for you when I'm done fixing your phone.
C- Are you going to fix my baby?

From now on, I am going to go out of my way to use up as much data bandwidth as humanly possible. I am going to download as many apps as I possibly can until my phone memory is full at which time I will delete them all and start over again.
