So, an A class celeb makes some halfway positive remarks about the new Palm, and you think you've got her? And you think this gives the Palm merit?
The screen gets scratched easily, huh? That sucks. The buttons are too small, she says. And this is all even "third hand info", so it's not a direct quote by any means?
Wow, really?
I'm actually looking forward to playing with the Palm Pre, but don't think it'll one up the iPhone at all.
...
Easy there, killer. It's a JOKE.
And it's not hard to one-up the iPhone. My stepmother's POS Virgin Mobile can do a lot of practically features the iPhone can't. But that's not the point...
...
I would love you to name one feature that a Virgin phone can do that the new 3.0 iPhone software cannot.
...
You can replace it. Through apple warranty or taking it apart yourself.
I rarely hear of problems with the battery. The main negative thing about the iPhone is, "I heard they were having a lot of problems with them" to which I reply, "No they aren't."
...
In Utah we have a chain of AT&T stores owned by Spring, but they totally look like AT&T corporate stores. People always ask about the iPhone, and they usually say, "We don't carry it because of all the problems it has."
Yeah, those lousy things practically sell themselves. It's a big problem.
Morons.
...
FYI....spring doesnt sell the phones because they cant not because the way it operates.
...
If by "the way it operates" you mean that AT&T refuses to let indirect channels sell it, then yes. Only national retailers like Wal-Mart and Best Buy can sell it.
...
Yeah, you lose that argument. I can replace the battery. But I haven't had to after a year of extensive use. NEXT.
...
does not have ins. 😲
...
or a stero blue tooth bult-in.
...
...and the answer is I DO! I have stereo bluetooth on my iPhone right now. So, poo on your guys parade.
I'm on a Dev team, and I have the 3.0 software. Works great with copy/paste and stereo bluetooth.
What's INS? Insert?
...
Palm sucks when the pre tanks it will be the end of them
...
I don't think it'll tank. In matter of fact, I think it'll save them.
I think it'll outdo the Storm and G1...but I don't think having it exclusive on Sprint will help. Sprint bloooooooooooows.
...
Anybody who has actually used sprint in the last year knows that is not the case. The only thing that ever did suck was cust. care and not the service, and they have turned the customer care around. The people like yourself and even the customer's who say that have just been spouting the same old line for the last two years and refuse to come into the present.
...
I'm still under contract with Sprint on my wife's phone. Before last June, I was the owner of that line.
Reception was iffy. My first phone started dropping calls, and got to the point where nobody could even hear me. On the phone with customer care was a hassle, and I avoid it like the plauge.
You can claim that Sprint is great, but everyone I know that is still under contract plans on switching carriers when the contract is up.
They might be able to pull through the ruff times, but the future is bleak with Sprint right now. You really can't honestly say they're doing well right now.
...
First off that sounds like the problem is your phone not the service. True there are areas that every carrier has trouble with, but if your phone got signal, than the problem was with your phone. If it was a freebie than thats probably part of it, free phones with every carrier suck honostly, with phones you get what you pay for. As far as customer care goes, you said yourself that was last june. Care has improved drastically in the last 12 months, as i stated in my previous comment.
...
I had to buy the phone outright, and the future is still bleak with Sprint. Too little, too late...
