I see some reviews say this is a "non-smart phone"...my question is....will this be on the $15 data plan or have to be on the $30 PDA data plan?

Well.

The rumor is that it will be 15.00 data, which does not qualify it for a smartphone.

I think this will end up bad, as most high end phones that get AT&T branded do.

IT IS A SMARTPHONE/PDA....That is what Nokia designed it for. To be an all in one device.

This rumor has actually made a few people I know go ahead and buy them unlocked from Nokia on Amazon and Ebay, because they believe AT&T will ruin a great device.

Very confusing, but the bottom line is that the E-71x is a PDA/Smartphone.

Even though 15.00 is alot cheaper, the phone will not do as much or be enabled to do what it was built for.

So...in essence, the phone is a smartphone when bought unlocked sans the at&t restrictions, and bought branded for at&t it will be more a less a dumbphone b/c of those limits?

there is no difference between internet for $30 and for $15 ask anybody who has downloaded Opera to their phones.

The N75 was able to surf full HTML sights like the blackjack 2... the difference was $15 a month.

be glad Ralph de Lavega is an Idiot and doesn't realize HTML uses more bandwidth no matter the OS that phone uses!

Blackberry has an app for all S.60 phones so for $15 you get blackberry connect (+the price of the app)

They should've just gone with the cheaper E63 instead, if they're going to cripple the E71 like that.
