Hey Union Workers.....

Be Grateful.

I have no health insurance, (wouldn't want uncle Sam's help on this either, I'll get my own thank you very much)

I have no vacation time.

I don't get an allocated amount of sick days.

& I'm still glad that I'm not in a Union...

They want to take away severance pay, they want to take away a paid holiday, they want to break the union up taking out district 7&9. I dont care much for the union because every grievance I file they convince me to close it. However, that is not acceptable. I wonder what they will do when the 20,000 employees this covers strikes? I cant afford it; I was told that the union can sue us if we still go to work. Our call center has 10 managers and about 500 union employees......makes you wonder.

sounds a little off with the nuimbers. so each manager has 50 direct reports?

Naw about 60% of them are on FMLA or other leave.. and thats the truth.

That sentence is a huge red flag to begin with.
How many grievance's are you filing?? Sounds like the problem is you. not your union, your Manager or the company.

Work ethic. Plain and simple. unfortunately this country is fixed on the ME mantra and thinks that they are 'owed' something.
you are owed nothing. Not a job, not health care, not welfare for your babies momma or daddy.

We are owed one thing and that is respect. We respect our customers and help the company keep their gain so respect us instead of trying to take away everything. I have filed two grievances thank you very much and it was not about work performance or managers. I do my job very well thank you.. It was about treatment of employees as a whole. However, the union thought it was best to not pursue it. It had to do with how I can use my acrrued time... which we lose if we dont use it. They had time blocked out because of the Dobson mess and wouldnt let people take time off. I had a wedding I was best man in and was forced to take a discipline point because the day was closed for vacation time. The other had to do with mandated overtime wi...

If I owned a bussiness, and it went union, I would sell it. No one has the right to tell you how to run your bussiness.

Thats right....

But for how long will it be like that.

As I said, I will take care of myself. I want nothing to do with the Government, I keep out of their business and they stay out of mine.

However, everyone wants their help. (I don't know why, look at how they help people)
